Hi

I am wondering if anyone has been to the clinic in New York? I am interested in going but am not sure if it is just another money grab!  I am 61 and have been diagnosed with Monoclonal gammopathy of unknown signifcance. Which really means that I have the protien in my blood that causes Multiple Myeloma.  Two of my brothers have had this disease as well as my mother. My one brother died of this disease over 20 years ago, my other brother is just been diagnosed.  I am interested in going to the clinic to keep my chances of developing this disease to a minimum. I would value anyones input into the sucess they have had with this clinic as well as with the diet.

If you are refering to Dr. D's clinic, it's in Connecticut, the address is on this website. Dr. D is a naturopathic doctor interested in helping heal people, not becoming rich off them. If you read the threads on these forums, you will find them full of loving, sharing, caring people who've turned around many, often serious health problems with the Blood Type Diet. If you stop eating foods that are bad for your blood type, your body will have an easier time fighting ailments. Dr. D is not a charlatan who promises people the moon and steals their money. He works with real science, and real results. If you follow his advice, your whole life takes a turn for the better.
You can make a lot of progress just by reading his books- from the library- and reading this website, and quitting eating stuff bad for your blood type - and that's all free!
I don't know anything about your ailment, but I would give any advice he gave a chance. He has a lot to offer. Best of luck.

Welcome to the forum Bert.

Have you read any of Dr. D's books?  There's a lot that you can do for yourself to see if this way of eating will help you.

Btw, what's your blood type?  Do you know?

I'm not familiar with your health issue?  Is it genetic?  There are a few members here who post on the board who have a genetic health issue, and the BTD had improved their quality of life.

Browse around the site and become familiar with all the features here.  If you look at the top right of the page, you will see a link called "member center."  If you click on that link, it will take you to a page where you can pick an appropriate avatar, to represent your Blood Type Shield.  This comes in handy when others are trying to help you answer questions.  Also on that link you can create a special message under your shield, and a personal signature that will appear in all your posts.

You will also find lots of scientific support for the BTD in the Individualist Wiki

And yes, there are some members here who have seen Dr. D at his clinic, and have nothing but positive words about him.

You might take a look at the Testimonials Forum for those who talk about their experiences of being on the BTD.

Again, welcome to the forum, and keep asking questions!

Knowledge is power.  SWAMI gives you the diet that will unlock the key to better health, and it's all based on your unique individuality.
