OMGosh...

I've got a real problem!  First I found some of the Annie Chungs Roast Sesame Korean Seaweed (Nori) at the local health food store and I ate 3 packs of them!  I couldn't stop.  ha ha..

The only issue is they have a black dot.  Canola Oil.  Other than that they are a beneficial and the sesame oil is a diamond.

So I found a recipe to make them with olive oil and made a batch today.  These things are better than chips by 1000% and I ate the entire batch I made!  Does anyone see a problem with this?   The batch took 1 TBl of olive oil but I could drop it down to even 1/2 TBL to save on calories.

What a snack!  Peppermint Twist the previous potato chip queen would love these!!

The only problem I have with them are that they are a bit labor intensive for what you end up with and especially since I am eating them all at once!  

The Nori is a Beneficial for me.  I could roast Wakame or Bladderwrack as those are diamonds.  And if I'm going to eat a large batch at once, that might be a better option!

Glad you found a way to get seaweed into your diet.  It sounds like there is something in the seaweed that your body needs.  Once it gets an adequate amount of whatever this substance is, it will probably reduce the "tastiness" of them - although some people's body doesn't do this...

Beneficial and diamond foods are all healing for you, so other than over-eating per portion size or frequency, I don't see a problem...

This isn't a problem. Seaweed is loaded with minerals and your body probably needs them!

I love toasted Nori.  Because of the time factor, I buy SeaSnax in the 15 g size.  That's 5 sheets.  They are toasted with olive oil and sea salt.  They also sell small snack packs, but they are not as economical.  I buy them at Sundance natural foods in Eugene.

You really do need to be careful to not overeat sea vegetables so you don't get an iodine overload.  That is not good for you.  

Slightly off topic - you also need to be careful to not overeat asparagus.........which would be oh so easy for me to do because I absolutely love it!  

There really is a reason a healthy diet is "balanced".........

well I sauna almost every night for about 45 min.  so would that help rid my body of the iodine?
