We have a Ninja Pro 1100.  It makes great smoothies and frozen desserts and that's all I need it to do.  Tonight I made a cherry chocolate chip frozen smoothie, 1 kinda green banana(you get the creamy without much banana taste) 10 large frozen sweet cherries, 1 cup of ice, about 10 chocolate chips and a little water.  mmm mmm good.

I have the Ninja.  Very reasonable price.  I got it on sale and also bought one for my daughter.  We both really like it.

I have a Vitamix. What I don't like about it is if the lid isn't on tight, and I turn it on low..the power surges at first from such a powerful motor and it will spill out some of the contents before it gets going, so I have to make sure the lid is on really well.

I've been looking at the Ninja's. It looks good for the price and does a lot of different things..except it doesn't make friction soup like the Vitamix does (I asked them). My only concern about the Ninja is how long does it last?  Like the Shark vacuums. I bought a Shark vacuum. It lasted about a year and then died.  These new companies.. you never know what kind of quality you're getting.  I won't buy another Shark again.

I have accidentally set my Vitamix on in the highest setting and it nearly blew the contents out through the top of the not so greatly fastened lid....but I solve that by making sure I'm turning it on in the lowest gear so it's
sort of stirring rather than blending.  Do you have that ability on your Vitamix?

Watched a few youtube videos comparing Vitamix to Blentec for smoothness in consistency.  Most blended
fruits and veggies came out the same.

The difference was between the Vitamix/Blendtec and Ninja.  Ninja didn't fully blend the contents that the other
two did in a few instances.

One guy on youtube compared all three machines..  Vitamix came out first, Blendtec second and Ninja third.  But comparatively, Vitamix is the most expensive.

All my Shark products died too.  Good when new...don't last long.
