I made a couple of batches of these quick spelt scones in my processor - they are very delicious (with either good butter & homemade jam or allowed cheese). The key I think as with all scones, is not to over-process - you want the mixture to remain light and airy - (I used the pulse setting)

(Hot oven 200 c)

300 grams of spelt flour
2 tspns gluten free baking powder
75 grams unsalted butter - cubed
pinch of sea salt
1 egg
100m milk

Process everything except the egg and milk until mixture breadcrumb like.
Add the egg and process until just combined.
Pulse mixture & slowly add milk until mixture just forms a ball or ball iike dough. (You may not require all the milk).
Line a baking tray with baking paper.
Form dough into a circle with your hands about an inch thick - score with a knife into portions.
Bake for 8 minutes.
Remove from oven and cover with a cotton tea towel for 2 mins.
Enjoy with real butter or ghee!

My brain does weird things like that also with words. I re-read it and start laughing at what I thought was written!  

But....its got butter in it already!   Oh ghee - you gonna butter the buttery?  

I am glad I left this recipe here as a reminder - has been a while since I made these - the recipe has left my head already.

Really good i made them the other day- served them with lots of butter and homemade peach jam
