I'm looking for suggestions for making spirulina more palatable to ingest (maybe some like the taste but I have to disguise it!) I'd like to stay with the powder and not take any more capsules. Currently I add lots of lemon juice and water to it but I'm open to news ways of consuming it if anyone has suggestions! |

Hi Louise it is pretty good with a yoghurt & honey smoothie... I used to add date & banana to them too. I think it would be okay with something like mango, yoghurt, agave and lime juice blended also? i love spirulina - it keeps my skin so clear & tummy full during the night. |

I just sprinkle it on my morning (about 2 teaspoons) veggies and eggs, or veggies and fish. I also add paprika, turmeric, onion, salt, etc, etc. |

I add a few teaspoons to my smoothie which I make with acai (don't know if its a bennie for you or not) same with tofu. The acai is a purple berry color and I add sliced apple and pieces of pineapple all beneficial for an A.
As soon as I add the spirulina, Presto it turns green in the blender. Spirulina is very strong but a beneficial.
I hope this gives you another alternative to the above ideas.

I made a black bean stew using leftover roast. I but a teaspoon in with it this morning. It tasted pretty good. I believe for me it is a matter of using it often put not a lot a one time. I think it would get lost (flavor) wise in soups. I think I read you shouldn't cook it. I add just before I'm going to eat and stir it in. |

thank you all for suggestions! I need to get back to morning shakes on some mornings and I'm looking forward to adding spirulina to more savory foods - i hadn't thought of trying it that way. |
