Granola Nut Fruit Slices-

Ingredient list calls for peanut butter

Instructions in recipe say to "Stir almond butter"

Recipe would work with either almond or peanut butter-just seemed inconsistent. (Location 1094 of 5074 in Type A book)

This may be a software glitch rather than a problem with the A book.

In landscape view on the iPad, I had the photo of Blackstrap Cherry Granola and ingredient list in both the right and left columns. Moved back a few pages and came back and the problem went away.

Thank you for posting.
We are looking into both items mentioned as we work through some refinements before the official publication.

Location 510 of 5074 in Type A book - Use "grass fed" in a way I find confusing.

"I recommend all poultry be grass fed and organic."

I think this should be:

"I recommend all poultry be free range and organic."

I consider grass fed to be for cattle, but I do see it used for poultry from time to time.
(I feel the use of grass fed for poultry confuses the term. Since I want beef to be entirely grass fed when labeled grass fed. A diet entirely of grass is not suitable for most poultry)

Another term a few people use is "Pastured Poultry"

"I recommend pastured poultry that is organic."

I know some people say "grass fed" means chickens had access to land with grass, where as "free range" might mean chickens only had access to a dirt plot without vegetation.

The farmers around me mostly use the term free range and have the chickens in fields with vegetation.

I cannot get eggs or chicken labeled as grass fed in my area.

C-Sharp and BobM, Look at the post I made on the Just bought the personalized lving thread for some other refinements on Baking powder.

Pastured poultry would mean to me they had full access to vegetation and dirt as necessary for grit with the fresh, and properly protected at night. Being as I am looking at raising my own chickens, turkeys, and geese-we are pasturing them in our yard away from the larger animals. They will be fed as much forage as we can give them and we are not looking for super sized breast meat on those birds. we want them to breed to make an ongoing stock. Our goal is an organic farm both animal and vegetation using no chemicals, and only as mandated and a very last resort any chemicals. Most integrated pest management for insects, predators, and weeds.

Now just got to get my husband to understand what some of this means.

'And some of us would die-so other men can stand up on their feet like men. A great many are going to die for that. They have in the past. They will a hundred years from now-two hundred. God grant there will always be men good enough.(James Otis)' Johnny Tremain (Forbes)
