It was in a crisper drawer. And it was a rather large one. I had my kids throw everything out in the crisper drawer, and the one below it. And then had them clean it with wipes. And then I put a baking soda thingy in the crisper drawer. Do you think that's good enough? I'm assuming the food in the tupperware above that is sealed is probably fine, eh? I might even be going overboard with throwing everything out, but I don't think my mind will let me eat it anyways. So.....
Tonight we're eating frozen veggies. Hehehhe

Should be fine, but probably as good a time as any to give the whole fridge a bit of a clean out. run down the contents and the day before you next go shopping have a clean out. soappy water is fine for the crisper tray.
any food that was close would be fine with a good clean also, and perhaps if you are very cautious then a spray of hydrogen peroxide 3% or grape fruit seed extract or vegetable wash. and rinsed thoroughly.
Kind Regards PC.

That's good advice. I don't know if I'll get the whole fridge cleaned out though.

I would have thrown out the moldy food and examined everything else that was near it; only throwing out what needed to be thrown out. Sometimes I'll cut off the bad parts and still eat the rest of the fruit or veggie, if the problem is localized to one spot and the rest isn't overipe.

yeah, I probably went overboard. But I haven't been feeling real well lately and I was nuclear bombing a possible threat. Well, not nuclear bombing, maybe more like blowtorching.

When I find moldy veggies, I just toss those & clean out the drawer w/ soap & water. I'll only throw out other stuff in the drawer if the moldy veg. decided to leak all over everything.

Yeah TJ, that's what I was thinking. It's a possibilty. I think I have a stone moving though right now. And, it's like clockwork that I feel lousy this week of the year. So.... But it's definitely possible that it wasn't helping.
Yeah, my Mom was like, "I doubt I would've thrown all the other food out, but I can see why you would want to".
And yes Victoria, the drawers came out and got cleaned up. I was trying not to freak about the rest of the stuff in the fridge. Even the stuff in sealed tight tupperware. hehehhehehehe

Shoulo be no trouble with the vegs in the tuppaware My experience of tuppaware seals & airtightness (or even water tightness) includes being in a sinking dinghy whilst delivering sandwhiches which were in a tuppaware container... Said container at first sunk & then floated off in the distance but once retrieved, the sandwhiches were as edible & tasty as when freshly made
I can't get it to tell me anything on how to do it!!!! But thank you for the link.
