What else can I use if cinnamon and nutmeg are not compliant for me? Sucks that I can't use vanilla either. I gave up my Vanilla Latte. Milk, vanilla, coffee...everything in it is bad.

Are you on Swami?? depending what GENO or BTD type, you might be allowed cinnamon.. I was switched 3 times.. depending on which foods I was on.
In Europe they use cinnamon for BP and diabetes.. even so far as sleeping on it and adding it to foot insoles..
I just eat it some times now.. for nostalgia of rice pudding and cinnamon.. mmmh.. |
| When I see other peoples medicines schedule-I am happy to be here taking care of my health I only wish to drop weight more easily-life would be perfection Being 'here' creates understanding. BTD prevents damage from eating avoids. Thanks Dr D & your sups - all support and friendships |

I miss cinnamon and vanilla, too. A lot. I use a lot of ginger, which is a diamond. I also use cardamom and cloves, which are neutral. Nutmeg is a neutral for me, too. |

That sucks... what about flavored stevia drops? There is one that is so delicious!! Toffee nut - here's a link. I even bake with it. http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UT.....f=pd_sl_8or18lfzej_b |

Allspice makes a nice substitute for cinnamon in most recipes, but it's stronger than cinnamon, so you need to use a lot less. I never found nutmeg to have much flavor, so it's easy enough to just omit that. Ginger blends well with allspice in things like pumpkin pie.
Which diet are you following? Blood type diet, genotype diet, or SWAMI, and do you know your secretor status?
For a rich, creamy, "coffee-like" beverage, try yerba mate with cocoa powder and molasses, or even cocoa powder with molasses without the yerba mate. Use rice milk or almond milk (preferably homemade, to avoid additives, but the commercial products are still healthier than cow's milk and good baby steps to take) to make it creamy. |
