Can you get teapots that are ceramic that are made for the burner on an electric stove?  

The stainless one I have has just developed rust right where it meets the body and the spout.  

So, I'm in the market for one that won't toxicize me.  You know?  I figure ceramic is good, but I don't think I've ever had one and if they can be put on the stove top.  And what a good one would be.

I love my electric teapot. Mine lets me set it for the temperature I want the water to be.  I never thought that was a big deal until I noticed that some types of teas suggest that the water be different temperatures for optimum brewing.

Thank you all!!  These help tremendously.  I didn't know where to start.  I should've looked on Amazon.  Because I like those ones the best C sharp.  Especially that second glass one.  I like the white ceramic one you posted too.

My wife won't go for black.  It really doesn't match our kitchen.  We have Red's and like a limey type green with white appliances.  

And C Sharp, you're getting to be like Lola!!!!!!!!!!

I'm curious about the Mercola one.  And don't feel bad to mention him.  He's not all that bad.  I think he has quite a bit of wisdom.  I've never bought anything from him and I don't necessarily agree with everything he says, but he's got some good things to share.

If you ever decide to go back and try stainless steel again, this is the one I have, except I have a smaller size.  This particular one is exceptionally well-made and never rusts.  I've had mine for 30 years.  I don't know where to get the 1 or 2 quart size anymore, but it's a beauty.

The one I posted above is the same cookware line that Mercola sells as his own brand...but it's black and you said you didn't want black...

Stainless steal from china likes to rust....

Do you have a local college near by? Where I live the college every year has a big ceramics sale. There might be something like that in your area where you can get a beautiful and functional one.

A friend of mine also use to blow glass and make them. I guess they were good to at least 500*F.
