Can you get teapots that are ceramic that are made for the burner on an electric stove?
The stainless one I have has just developed rust right where it meets the body and the spout.
So, I'm in the market for one that won't toxicize me. You know? I figure ceramic is good, but I don't think I've ever had one and if they can be put on the stove top. And what a good one would be.
Thank you!!! |

It almost rubs me wrong to mention this, but I did get a teapot set from Mercola and I really like it. |

I love my electric teapot. Mine lets me set it for the temperature I want the water to be. I never thought that was a big deal until I noticed that some types of teas suggest that the water be different temperatures for optimum brewing. |

Thank you all!! These help tremendously. I didn't know where to start. I should've looked on Amazon. Because I like those ones the best C sharp. Especially that second glass one. I like the white ceramic one you posted too. My wife won't go for black. It really doesn't match our kitchen. We have Red's and like a limey type green with white appliances. And C Sharp, you're getting to be like Lola!!!!!!!!!! Thank you guys. I'm curious about the Mercola one. And don't feel bad to mention him. He's not all that bad. I think he has quite a bit of wisdom. I've never bought anything from him and I don't necessarily agree with everything he says, but he's got some good things to share. |

If you ever decide to go back and try stainless steel again, this is the one I have, except I have a smaller size. This particular one is exceptionally well-made and never rusts. I've had mine for 30 years. I don't know where to get the 1 or 2 quart size anymore, but it's a beauty. http://www.lehmans.com/store/K.....tles___lgSpoutKettle |

The one I posted above is the same cookware line that Mercola sells as his own brand...but it's black and you said you didn't want black... |

Stainless steal from china likes to rust....
Do you have a local college near by? Where I live the college every year has a big ceramics sale. There might be something like that in your area where you can get a beautiful and functional one.
A friend of mine also use to blow glass and make them. I guess they were good to at least 500*F. |
