them. And they seem like they're kind of dry. I thawed them in the refrigerator and I would think they're OK. I fed them to my son and he said they were kind of dry. They wouldn't be bad, would they? I would imagine that some of the moisture got pushed out when freezing and then I should add some more water back in and kind of recook them. Or reheat them. Does that sound right?
Thank you!

I think it's ok to freeze oatmeal. Rehydrate with water and it should be good. I've been experimenting with freezing more foods lately. It's been a long winter freeze here in the Northeast. Spring and summer harvest is almost here...
Yeah, I can't wait till more fresh foods start showing up.

I ate some of my unthawed steel cut oats today and it seemed fine. I did put some water with it and cooked it again on the stove top. So, I guess it's twice cooked oats. Hehehhe. But it tasted fine and didn't digest horribly. Almost like it was better cooked twice. Because sometimes I have a problem digesting oats.

I did soak them originally. With lemon. I'm a soaker, didn't you know it? I soak all my grains and nuts. I have the book Nourishing Traditions and go by the methods in there for those items.
