I have been buying "soup bones" from my grass-fed beef farmer. They come frozen, about 4 pound bags. They have enough meat to make 4-5 servings of beef for me, plus the bones for broth. And it is some of the tastiest meat; I guess because it is so close to the bone.
I pay only 3 dollars for these. When I first started buying GF meat, I bought some of the better, pricey cuts. I don't see a need for that now and only get other cuts occasionally.

4-5 servings of beef, plus the bone broth, all for $3, that is a great price! |

Brilliant I get lamb pieces the same!! I reckon I end up with more meat for my money, & for the amount of effort & bone, than on chops... |

I cook as I would soup bones for about 2.25 to 2.75 hours then take the meat off the bones and cook the bones for a few hours longer for broth. |

Interesting tip! I know there is some meat that doesn't get used when some people butcher. This is a good example. I wonder where else you can find food. How about the brains? You should ask him for them. hehehehehe |
