Thank God for Arrowroot Powder!
I have been using it to thicken gravy for along time now. BUT i just found a recipe on the back of the Arrowroot Powder bag for Vanilla Pudding. It's great!!!
Anybody ever do that? I was wondering maybe I could do chocolate at well!!! |

Care to share the recipe? What do you intend to use for "milk" and sweetener? |

Here's another arrowroot pudding recipe if you can have egg yolks and butter or ghee.
Arrowroot vanilla pudding
2 1/2 cups milk (of your choosing) 3 egg yolks 1/2 cup real maple syrup or honey (or agave or whatever sweetener you want to use) 4 T. arrowroot powder 1/4 t. sea salt 1 T. butter or ghee 1 t. vanilla
In a medium saucepan, whisk together milk, egg yolks, maple syrup, arrowroot powder and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring CONSTANTLY until pudding begins to thicken. Remove immediately from the heat, and continue to stir until pudding is creamy. Add butter and vanilla and continue to stir until mixed. Pour into serving dishes and serve warm, or chill for two hours and serve cold. |

Wow, they both sound good. I'm going to try the arrowroot one (I don't have any chia seeds)! Jane |

Thanks for the recipes, but realized, I can't have any nut milks, any longer since I've been swami --ed. Only Indian Buffalo Milk, but thought maybe I could add water to the ground flax seed, add banana (which I think is a neutral and a little cocoa, and maybe that will taste like a chocolate pudding. I may give that a try and let you know how it is. |

You might be able to sub pineapple juice or rice milk. |
