A friend gave me a can of  Green  Jackfruit and one of Rambutan. Anyone know what to do with them?

Green Jackfruit is used in curry dishes and said to taste like chicken.

Jackfruit is very tasty raw but very expensive in the Denver area.

I would suggest using a can opener to open the cans before trying to eat the contents.

Quoted from Lola
so there you go!

Well maybe someone here has eaten it and can tell us what they did with them.

Lets be curious and see what happens.

Rambutan are like extra meaty and extra sweat lychees! Jackfruit... When I ate it it tasted kind of like a cross between pineapple and banana   - quite weird... but quite addictive once you get started. My aunt can eat half a kilo in one go!

ps. the jackfruit can be quite sticky and glue like - also, might be slightly pongy. Cheesy/oniony

not to the extent of durian though - lethal onion in fruit form, as I call them
