I think this is a good recipe.  Simple and easy to follow. I had recently tried to make a meatloaf traditionally off a tv show that claimed they had researched how to make the perfect meatloaf.  Well taste is highly subjective and I liked this recipe(eR4yt) better.  I think using natural ingredients is what makes food taste good.  I substituted the ezekiel bread with portabella mushroom and it worked fine.  I cannot eat gluten and even though ezekiel is sprouted it contains some gluten remnants.

Hello mattamal, nice to meet you

Thanks for the suggestion to use portabellos in meat loaf. I'll have to try it! Sounds delicious, especially for us 'shroom lovers. Please consider sharing your recipe with us.

My favorite meat loaf recipe uses no other binder or filler besides a beaten egg. I use a half and half mix of ground turkey and very lean ground beef or bison, the beaten egg, some chopped sauteed onions and garlic, and occasionally I'll add in a drained can of diced tomatoes. This makes a very light, moist meat loaf with lots of flavor. It is really delicious for breakfast in place of sausage, and can even be broken up and used in place of meatballs in spaghetti sauce, in a pinch.

Welcome to the board mattamal! I look forward to your posts.
