Soup made with only marrow bones does not jell-up (get thick) as well as when I use oxtail bones. Does the soup have to jell-up to be beneficial for my arthritis?

I think it is nourishing - but not as good as jellied soup... that is why I just made lots and store in icecube bags in concentrated form

I love oxtail soup, but it doesn't have a lot of marrow.  I ask my butcher for marrow bones and he gives me the ones with a large chunk of marrow in every bone.
