I am in need of some good b friendly beans dish that contains NO pork and no other carnivorous animals in it. Most dishes i'm finding is low -carb and bs diet isn't low carb because I just read that I should be eating 1 cup of cooked beans a day, or 1 c. dry beans, then cook it and eat it. I forgot.

Anyways, is there anything besides black beans (avoid) that Ican eat. I can't eat typical hummus - chickpeas are avoid.

any ideas?

I have a problem with the ammounts of beans as well.
I think we long time a go found out???? it should read as 1 cup cooked beans- but it is still a lot pr week:
5-7 servings pr week- secs and 3-5 servings for nonnies.

Remember that green beans/ and broad beans belong here as well- they are not veggies
- so even though they are neutral they counts

I make a lunch salad with
cold cooked green beans and navy or limabeans,red pepper, onions- lemon/oliveoil dressing. Sometimes I add cheese or cold fish into it - it is rather filling.

Or make hummuos with limabeans, spices, walnut oil ( works well instead of tahin)and lemonjuice.

Soups with beans:
Limabeans, leek - galic is nice- made creamy with a bit of butter or cream.

yes, you can make 'hummus' out of practically any compliant legume!
just add garlic, olive oil and some compliant nut butter to the mix!

Cauliflower and Cannellini Beans.

Chop and saute an onion - until almost caramelised using xv olive oil
Add 1 clove finely chopped garlic.
Add 1 heaped teaspoon mustard seeds and saute for a few seconds.
Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric.

Whilst doing this steam some cauliflower florets, steam until just done, leaving a little crunch.
When cauliflower is almost ready add cannellini beans to heat (I usually precook the beans and store in the freezer, make sure they are thawed thoroughly before using).

Put cauliflower in a dish and pour over the onion mixture.
Stir in a tablespoon of Savoury Yeast and serve warm or cold.

B nonnies can make refried beans out of kidney beans.  Lima beans are good with carmelized onions and sun-dried tomators.  Navy beans can be used in any dish that calls for dried beans, such as a nice rich homemade stock from beef marrow bones and vegetables, but remember, there are no beneficial dried beans for B nonnies.

Sad to report... but I almost never eat beans. It isn't that I don't like beans... but with 2 A's in the household... there are very few choices that we all can eat. And since they cannot eat kidney nor lima beans... the only beneficial beans for B secretors... I do not even buy them. Not a very good reason... I know...

The only beans I eat occasionally are cannelini.

I don't eat them, Don.  I might have green beans once or twice a month.  No dried beans.  I can't remember the last time I ate them.  Oh yes, last winter when the power went out during a snow storm.  I had canned lima beans and got horrible heartburn!

NO I never reach the 5- 7
I dont mind the taste of beans really
- but they are not a traditionally part of danish cuisine.
AND I dont feel particular fine with even the benficial beans- feel very full in a uncomfy way.
When I was a vegetarian prior to BTD I had lots of soymilk, chickpeas and lentils and no wonder that I felt bad  
I would say:
I eat 1-2 servings of green beans pr week- mainly in late summer - autumn- when my garden is full
- and maybe 2-4 servings of limabeans pr MONTH- mainly in wintertime.

I'm a non-secretor, there are no beneficial beans for us.  I've never cared for the neutral beans allowed.  I'll eat the neutral ones if they are put in front of me, but I won't go out of my way to buy or cook them.  Just my personal preferance.

I usually add a teaspoon of my own spice blend which is basically all my beneficial and neutral herbs ground together........an interesting taste and color!!
the turmeric turns it a yellowish color.

Some of the mild beans--perhaps anazani, pinto beans, cannellini beans can be used for a base for the hummus (please double the avoid beans for your blood type). Add whatever fresh and/or dried spices you like, and a little squeeze of fresh lemon juice for a nice 'tang'.

I have made hummus without any nut butter added and it turned out fine; nut butters will add richness and creaminess; however, oilve oil will impart richness to the mock hummus.

I use limabeans/ butterbeans, walnutoil or oliveoil, lemonjuice, and corianderseeds- sometimes cumin. It taste pretty much like the stuff I get from the libanese shops.
