here I go again, eating something sweet..... last night I needed something sweet so I put a spoonful of ghee in a pan with cut up pear, banana, and a half cup of frozen blueberries, plus 2 or 3 Tbs. of pomagranite juice, some allspice, and 1 or 2 tbs of honey....(pinch of salt) cooked it for ...? 5 or 10 min. YUM! (only bad part, I ate it too soon, couldve tasted it better if it had cooled down) |

This sounds interesting; the recipe concoction could be used as a fruit sauce over fruit, bread/cake, compliant all-fruit sorbet.
It also sounds as though it could be used warm or cold.

I did something similar for Thanksgiving. I melted some ghee, cut up some pears and apples and sweetened with turbinado sugar and then added some dried cherries. I like the idea of adding the pomegranite juice and allspice. I'll have to try that. Jane |

This is similiar to my Thanksgiving "compote". I peel and cut up apples and cook them down until quite thick. For the last 20 minutes, I add raisins, prunes and/or dried apricots. The dried fruits are my sweetener. |

I like cooked fruit with meat. That's exactly how I always use it! |
