Are You A PROP Taster?

New in Personalized Living Webzine:

Quoted Text
Although just about everyone knows something about DNA, I’d like to take a few moments to introduce you to RNA, the real power behind the throne.

Protein represents what biologists call phenotype – the living, breathing, metabolizing part of life. DNA is information. Other than acting as a blueprint and occasionally remembering to replicate itself, it doesn’t have a single real world obligation. It is RNA that acts as the bridge between DNA and protein, translating the message of DNA into the reality of proteins. All the basic functions of the cell require RNA.

can you please answer this question?

First of all  I'm a Teacher and my body fat isn't low...I'm a slight taster....but what does it mean "depending on your thyroid activity"??  Does this mean that a super taster has high thyroid
function and non tasters have low thyroid function?

From this article
Teacher- Your high metabolism is exemplified in your ability to taste PROP test strips. Most Teachers are at least tasters and some are super-tasters, depending on their thyroid activity. It’s no wonder your body fat percentage is so low.

From reading the statement, it seems that lower taster status equates to a lower metabolism and by association, lower thyroid activity.  Since most Teacher genotypes are tasters or super-, many have a low body fat %...

Thanks..makes perfect sense....lower metabolism, lower thyroid activity, lower taster status.

So super tasters should have very little body fat?

There is a thread on the Forum somewhere, it was discussed that some found as their Thyroid improved so did their ability to taste the Prop test.

You answered my question before I asked it.......I was wondering if a slight taster would become
more of a taster as their thyroid improved.  Thanks...

These bodies of ours continually amaze me over and over again. If only we always knew what they were trying to tell us! I must say, though, that we are getting better at it!

So then are non-tasters usually fat?
