I've got pcos and ibs because of my fibromyalgia. I'm struggling with eczema too and I wonder if this is because of my ibs (I have hypothyroidism too but this one is under control. For a warrior's diet complex carbs seem to be quite important as they are for vegetarians in general. With my ibs I notice I get twice as constipated with complex wholemeal carbs but I prefer them because they are healthier. I love my basmati rice but even if it is a superfood I guess it can't be good to eat it everyday. I remember though a comment from Dr. Dadamo saying he ate only chicken and rice for years and he was fine but not sure with my fastidious health it will be a good idea - loved it to be ok, that and some veggies is what I've been eaten myself for years too but not sure now it's the best.

I also feel like eating carbs in a way I never did before oats, rye, brown rice but it makes my digestion really hard, almost impossible, no matter how used to them I may be - this sympton/problem doesn't change.

I guess a solution is to have carbs from vegetables mainly but I'm afraid this is not going to keep me full enough.

Can you think of any solutions? Is anyone found a solution for a similar situation?

Why do you think you shouldn't eat basmati rice every day?

The idea that whole grains are better than refined grains is not universally true. The fiber can actually be harmful for some individuals- you may be one of them. I know that my SWAMI lists basmati rice as beneficial and brown rice as only neutral- clearly, the basmati rice is better for me than short-grain brown rice- and I feel better eating the basmati! If the whole meal grains make you more constipated, then clearly they're not healthier *for you*!!

Warriors need ample grains and beans along with the large quantity of vegetables we all need. Eating the foods your body is able to digest fully means that your body will be absorbing more nutrients. You also don't want anything to irritate the GI tract, as that will slow down healing. I suspect that your other health issues will begin to clear up when your gut heals.

For constipation, make sure you're getting enough magnesium, and make sure you're getting enough "good fats." Ghee is EXCELLENT for gut healing. Fats help lubricate the digestive tract so the feces can come out more easily. As an A, your fat needs are likely lower than mine are as an O, but you still might need more fat than you're currently getting- at least in the short term while you have healing to do. Just remember balance- too much fat won't be digested and can cause problems all its own.

Some people with IBS actually do best on a low fiber diet, rather than a high-fiber diet. You may want to try green juices in place of some of your vegetable intake.

You are probably right. I just try to eat wholemeal because it's got good prebiotics in it and because they are supposed to be part of a good diet but no matter how I try - and I mean by this I've been trying for years now- I don't digest them, they only make my constipation worse. Basmati rice is easily absorbed on the contrary but because is refined I just keep thinking is not the ideal food to have so often and for some reason i really feel like eating it so often.

And then you find all this opinion about wholemeal actually helping constipation, also with Ibs. It's confusing, you don't know what to believe any more so you try to have  a healthier diet and add them but it definitely doesn't work with me.

Whose advice are you listening to? One size fits all advice will not work--
Why not visit Dr. Tom Greenfield-in England. Acutally Dr. D'Adamo is with him right now teaching some classes at his clinic.

Look him up and see if it is possible.

Are you secretor tested? Might be a good thing to do.

And Warriors like us need vegetables at least 6 cups a day-- who said we need loads of carbs?

The largest part of our diets are veggies-- that means  I eat some at breakfast lunch and dinner.

I eat a good amount of olive oil on my veggies. I too wouldn't feel full with just veggies & little starch or fat. But since I need to watch the starch intake, the oil helps with the fullness issue.
I do eat plenty of protein.

I haven't seen Warrior's SWAMI food lists.

The carb table for Warrior in the GenoType Diet book says:
Portion size: 1/2 cup grains, cereal, rice; 1/2 muffin; 1 slice bread.
Frequency: 2-3 times daily.

It sounds like carbs are not your friend.  How do you do with a lot of protein?

Being hungry is very hormetic (cleansing) and drinking water helps me get past the hunger.

become an observer about your true personal situation and then use other words as for example: my body shows up symptoms like... here your chance to ride  off all is 100% ...

This isn't meant especially to your situation... but as long as we do identify with : my..trallala & cha-cha-cha.... so your situation will last... but give yourselve space and options for corrections and changes ... btw I apologize... Magnesium sounds smart.

I would also consider isoflavones (soymilk would probably work), pantothenic acid (500mg twice daily) for grain tolerance, folic acid for IBS as well, and something for liver like dandelion.
