This question is for all Nomad B genotypes.  What are the best exercise recommendations for Nomads?
Also, I was curious if training for an obstacle race like a spartacus race is too intense of an exercise type for the Nomad?

My B teenage sons like to exercise with our Bowflex to bulk up and gain muscle. One of my sons is more Nomad than the other.

Also, martial arts is a good sport to consider (my sons are black belts). It can be very physical, but also requires a lot of focus, visualization, and self control.

In the book, Nomad chapter:
Less Demanding:
golf
active hatha yoga
Tai Chi, Qi gong
swimming
pilates
vigorous walking, level ground, at least 2 miles
hiking, moderate pace, some hilly terrain

More Demanding:
Resistance training, light circuit or hand weights (2 - 5 lb) used with walking or hiking
Intense competitive sports (martial arts, basketball, soccer)
jogging
tennis

I am not really god at formal/planned exercise in gyms etc.
I hate being stuck indoor in a sweaty smelly room.

I like exercise with a purpose;
riding my bike to the shops, walking the dog, working hard in garden and cutting up and moving firewood, shovelling snow  etc.

Most of the year that is enough for me
- but in the middle of the winter I might lift some weights and do some yoga or tai chi as well.
In summertime working in garden is pretty much part mediation/ part hard work for me

Basically I try to move around everyday - walk or ride my bike.
I try to lift heavy things a few times a week
and I might run for a short while  I walk the dog or avoid missing the bus
- in what is known as High Intense interval training
But I feel that real running is far too stressful for me.
In summertime I enjoy a lot swimming in the sea as well.

Without really knowing why until I discovered I am B+ Nomad I was naturally drawn to pilates, walking, hiking and weight training.  When I miss my regular routine I know it right away.  Your body will tell you what it wants.

Some of that is age, too; the majority of 60-year-old women aren't necessarily drawn to kick-boxing, for instance.

And there are degrees of ability and need for aerobic exercise, even within a given bloodtype and age group.
