Hello all. I am trying to figure out if it is worth trying the Nomad diet if I am a type A+. All my measurements, my fingerprints, and my family history of clinical depression made me test stronger for a Nomad than a Warrior. Oh and I have auburn hair. I am confused and need help. I would like to try the diet for a few months to see if I get any kind of results before I invest in swami. Thanks in advance for any advice. I am confused |

Greetings and Welcome!
Definitely not a Nomad. (Type As cannot be Nomads)
I did get much better results with SWAMI than I did following any of the GenoType diet that I tried. (I did try more than one of them)
Have you tried the Warrior diet at all, or did you just just feel better about the Nomad diet?
Also if possible, use the advanced tables at that back of the book. These tables do not rely on any strength test results. |

Incidentally, it is very common that people strength tests are stronger for a GenoType they cannot be.
It is not recommended that people follow diets not associated with their blood types. |

It's not as complicated if you know your secretor status - that directs you on to the back of the book to the Advanced Calculator. As a type A, you can only be either a Warrior, Teacher or Explorer. Good luck getting to the bottom of the mystery! |

I used the advanced calculator. I tried Warrior for 6 weeks with absolutely no results. Not just weight loss but also no help for my skin or horrible heart burn. Reading the descriptions of the Genotype I fit Nomad perfectly except for my blood type. I am a red head, have migraines, 11 loop finger prints with no arches, a strong family history of clinical depression. I have very few characteristics of the Warrior. I have no arch fingerprints, the only family history of heart disease I have is a maternal grandfather who smokes 2-3 packs of cigarettes a day and eats everything fried. I have no problems with my bowels and my memory is not the best. I am sure that I am A+ because I donate blood. Thanks for the input. I can't afford SWAMI right now so I guess I will have to figure something else out. |

Takes three months for the body to adjust. The Teacher diet would be more B like then the Warrior diet. Sometimes things get worse before they get better--- What did you eat as Warrior? |

The warrior diet did not work as well as the nonsecretor blood type diet for me, but I was not actually a warrior. |

Can you post your measurements? Sometimes who we think we are is not really who we are |

I also find the palm-up method of measuring the fingers to work much better for me than between the fingers. I got a transparent ruler, which helped even more! And many folks have measured incorrectly and discovered that things changed when they remeasured. Maybe get someone to help you and remeasure everything. Take your time and read directions very carefully. Maybe you're a Teacher? |

The warrior diet takes longer to make a difference.
You haven't said a single thing that makes you not warrior, actually. The traits you named might be indicators, but not determiners. Frankly the body displays stronger traits than the simple extensions like hair and finger prints; problem is there isn't a good way to describe it.
I have all ulnar loop finger prints.
Measurements would be good. I always like to see a picture because there are some pretty distinctive traits of being or not being some GenoTypes; unfortunately picking them out has been an experience thing and not a really good quantifiable thing just yet. |

Also, some individuals just don't do well on any of the "by the book" Genotype diets. You may fare better on the BTD (blood type diet) if none of the genotypes seem to "fit."
SWAMI is ideal, but not everybody can budget in a SWAMI right away, and also not everybody *needs* it- many do fine on one of the "book diets." |
