blueberries, cherries, pineapple, plum . . . too many to mention!

(but if you follow your own SWAMI, we need to know what the ratings are on your food list)

My first thought was cherries, but.....just saw that to be a black dot on your food list....so...

Here's a list of just about every berry you can possibly imagine.

Sometimes when you can't find a berry in a fresh or frozen form, sometimes dried is available.  For dried berries you might want to try nuts.com  They have a great selection.

I rarely think about "finding a replacement for  a specific food." Rather, I look for tasty foods that I can enjoy. I'm not sure which fruits are easy to find where you live and which ones are imported from elsewhere and thus too expensive to eat all the time.

Blueberries will work in smoothies, blended into yogurt, on top of cheesecake, etc- pretty much anywhere that raspberries and strawberries work. If you want  a red berry for something specific, you've got cranberries and elderberries on your beneficial list. If these fruits are hard to obtain where you live, just experiment with the locally available fruits on your OK list.

wanthanee, raspberries are a superfood for Teachers.  I had suggested cherries, but they are a black dot.

I think one takes the superfood list and buy whatever is in season locally.  In my area, going down you superfood list that would mean I would use cranberries and adjust whatever recipe to accommodate the difference between strawberries and rasberries.

If I needed more sweetness than cranberries, I would be doing frozen blueberries.

In pacific islands I might choose guava.

I would also consider things like dragon fruit, mangosteen, sweet sop, water apples, rose apples, or Sapodilla if I could get them at a reasonable price.

Thank you so much guys. Such sweet and lovely thoughts! I always enjoyed and get benefits from  you guys post.

I apologize about my English, my last post may seem silly but what I meant is that I was looking for a fruit to replace strawberries, raspberries that is the same color (red) lol.

This often happens between me and my husband or a friend.  They often misunderstand what I am trying to say because of my pronunciation.  For example, when I try to say something with the letter “V” in it, I pronounce it like “W”.  Volume but my sound like Wolume.  I find myself  having to spell words to my co-workers at times to get him or her to help me find things if they don’t understand what I am saying.

Anyhow, I would like to share some (there are a lot but this is only sample) short, silly and funny examples of things that have happened between me and husband and one between my cousin and her husband due to poor English or just misunderstandings.  Every time I think about it it makes me smile.  For example:

-I told my husband that I am going to floss.  He said, “No, no honey it will stink (made me laugh so hard because the way I pronounce “floss” sounds like “fart”).

-One year, when Eggfruit was I season I bought some that weren’t ripe yet.  I wanted to eat it so badly right away.  At the same time my husband was telling me about the benefits of our life insurance and what the payout would be to me should he pass away.  With my mind and eyes still fixed on the Eggfruit that I couldn’t eat yet, I replied, “Oh! I can’t wait!”   His reply was, “ What, Honey?!?  What did you say again?”  Then I woke up from thinking about the fruit I told him “ I can’t wait for the eggfruit to get ripe, not for you to die!” We both laughed so hard.

-Once, my cousin’s husband (my cousin has the same problem with English as me) told her to pick up 2 bananas on her way home.  She misunderstood and brought 2 bunches of bananas instead.  In our home country, bananas are never sold individually, you have to buy the whole bunch.  Her first thought was, “Wow! How he can finish 2 bunches of bananas in 1 week?  Hmmm maybe he wants to make bananas cake.  So, here you  go!”  Her husband wanted to get mad at her because he wanted two bananas but he realized that she must not be used to buying individually.

I am an emotional person too. Some time I can’t stop laughing and other times I will cry if I watch a sad movie.  Once, I read a post on here that said, “You eat baked potato, now the potato bakes you.”  Just reading that was enough to make me laugh so hard.  So cute!!

Now, back to the fruit.  See Lola, I was wondering what are they ?  You said,  “c mon”  I was thinking what kind of fruit is that? Maybe she meant cinnamon.  Then I thought,  “No that is not fruit.”   I even searched the internet.

So I ask my husband since he had just come home from work on Friday evening “ honey, do you know the fruit name c mon?”   He looked at the post and said, “No, honey she is saying Come On.  She’s not naming a fruit there.”   Made me laugh so heard again when I realized my mistake. See how silly I am!!

Wow! C-sharp, all the fruits you mention are here locally but only when in season.  I love it!
Also, they have Fresh Durian, fresh Rambutan, fresh Longan fruit etc.
First, I don’t know the name of the fruit you mention like sweet sop, water apples, rose apples in English though but I look it up in Wikipedia.  I can see from the pictures, then I recognize it as something I have eaten before. Also, they have a lot in my hometown.

Well! Hope you guys got some benefit from this post because LAUGHTER IS MEDICINE.
Sorry it takes me so long to reply back.  It is not because I am not a good typist, it just takes me a while to get the English correct so that you will at least be able to understand a little… as you probably know by now.

Chole, thanks for the link, you are awesome and I love to read your post!
Victoria, I want to increase my white blood cells so I put low blood cells into Swami and it said to avoid the fruits I listed before (includes raspberries).  Thanks for your suggestion and I love to read your post too!

I tried to post on the "SWAMI en Francais" thread (discussion in French) but couldn't manage more than a few posts that welcomed the person who started the thread. Communicating in your non-native tongue is HARD!!!
