I'm an RN by practice and LOVE my career path. I have chosen this lifestyle as a way to correct the wrongs I have done to my body and to get on the right track for my health. I am intrigued by the scope of beliefs represented on the forums as far as western medicine vs holistic practices. i don't want to get into rights vs wrongs, etc. Everybody is entitled to their own beliefs/opinions.

wondering if there are any other registered/licensed medical professionals here? if so, what are your thoughts or practices? I know what I believe for medicine, and what I know works for my health. But that's just for me. Wondering what your thoughts are? Do you find scope of the lifestyle that contradicts your training? Do you recommend the lifestyle to patients or clients?

I know this lifestyle of eating works, and i'm looking forward to it!

Yes recommend it as often as I can.  I am an RN and work in a hospital endoscopy unit. Docs know what I do some laugh but every once in awhile they get a  patient that tells the doc that they are on the BTD and have had great success.
I just smile--

I am a Homeopath and Bowen Therapist.  It's all about the whole picture for me and rather than "you are what you eat", actually I believe "you are what you don't excrete". If your body is metabolising and working as it should, everything else will pretty much fall into place.  I could ramble on for ever but I'll stop there!

I'm new to this site and have enjoyed looking at recipes, etc. There are tons of great ideas and valuable input from everyone.

Welcome Rubberband! I absolutely love Bowen Therapy and look forward to my sessions aprox every 3 months (would do it more often if I could afford it.) I have even thought about training myself to become a practionner. I am also doing a treatment involving homeopathic remedies for chronic fatigue/M.E amongst other symptoms.

I agree it's not just about what you eat, although diet is the foundation for health, if there are other issues/blockages going on, the body may not be energised by even the most optimal diet. According to one Bowen practionner, a lot of my fatigue comes from kidney issues, and I had a particular blockage on my right side related to this, just under the diagragm that was present in all her clients with fatigue issues.

I am an LPN working full time in a dialysis unit. Everyone there know about my lifestyle and have seen the results of my feeling better and loosing weight. some have borrowed my btd book and say its interesting but. I know there is a place for conventional medications and therapies but feel they are way overdone. i dont have a lot of confidence in most MDs out there, but know if people wont help themselves they must do something

I am a RN but quit working as a nurse 11 years ago. Got fed up with red tape and decided to do something else. I work with Hubby now, he is a real estate appraiser. Did work on the cardiac stepdown unit as a charge nurse and later moved to our local county health department as the home health supervisor.

I am an RN.  I have a business manufacturing and selling a Class I medical device that I patented while working NICU 25 yrs ago.

I am also doing about 8 hrs a week of nurse case management just to keep up some knowledge base and for the love of helping people with their health.  I mention BTD when I can to patients and all of the time to friends/family.
