I work as a home health care counselor and work with several patients with Asperger's, which is mild autistic traits basically. The more i work with these clients, the more i see aspects of my own behavior in them, which may be why i do well with these clients.
Is this a fixed trait that explorers are born with sometimes, or is it related to being out of balance in some way. I have gotten much better, but was curious if anyone had knowledge of this or experience with it? |

There was a big thread here some time ago on the Q of Autism, maybe you look for it to find common findings? |
| When I see other peoples medicines schedule-I am happy to be here taking care of my health I only wish to drop weight more easily-life would be perfection Being 'here' creates understanding. BTD prevents damage from eating avoids. Thanks Dr D & your sups - all support and friendships |

Our DD is autistic and measured as an Explorer when she was about 10 years old. I've been told I have autistic tendencies, too. Certainly, when I eat wheat and dairy, I get worse -- poor eye contact, withdraw into my own world, obsessive. |
| My SWAMI diet is a blend of BTD and GTD Explorer, but I'm not totally compliant. Also I try to choose foods that have a Low Glycemic index. DW and DD are A+, probably also Explorer. |

Dyslexic Explorer signing in. Does anyone with autism or "slight autism" not have mis-matched thumb or index fingers? |
| My weight loss goal: 220 lbs. A 6'4" dyslexic oddball: the size of a line-backer, the silhouette of Winnie-the-Pooh. |

The prints on my thumbs and index fingers are mirror images. My ring fingers have different prints, IIRC. |

A good friend of mine is such. Diagnosed aspergers. However when this Type O- fellow eats zero wheat and casein it all seems to go away. His singing improves greatly for his one man performances he does. Unfortunately he doesn't notice so he went back to consuming wheat etc. His concentration is on being told he just can't do anything about his thyroid so don't try. |

I Am not aspergers full-blown, but have a few traits. (Also slightly dyslexic and have dyscalculea and slow cognitive processing time for external stimuli). I think Apserger traits are on a continuum ranging from mild to severe. And how/what I eat does make a big difference. Sugary foods, high carb foods, caffeine and wheat made me so wired in the past that my brain felt "scrambeled". My dad was type O, INTP and had some dyscalculea and mildly aspergers social traits. I have no clue what his genotype was---but with his chiseled facial features, athletic tendencies, average height, normal male finger length pattern, and high intellect and creative/playful attitudes---what do you think his genotype might have been? (dark hair and blue eyes.) |

Guess that some traits are related to fetal development and some traits are related to toxin clearance issues. Depends on what you are looking at. Only a guess. However, there are lots of "traits" of toxicity that overlap with "autism" and also disappear mysteriously when you get rid of the toxins. |

I definitely have autistic-like traits, though I guess not enough to be actually diagnosed, since every professional I've talked to insisted I'm "normal."
Don't make eye contact with others, in my "own world" and don't notice things around me, obsessive and repetitive behavior, loner, mild dyslexia and ADD.
I'm Nomad, but my brother and dad seem like Explorers and have more pronounced versions of these types of traits. |
