Ok, I'm a newbie with the geno type diet. I bought the book, did all the stuff except the PROP and the secretor and finger prints I did but who knows how accurate I am in what I'm seeing??? Most looked like arches and whites lines prevalent but only on right hand? So bottom line it comes out I am an Explorer but here's the thing...I struggled with which body type I am, struggled with exactly how to measure the lower and upper legs so not sure I got that right. I went with the wrist test ...my wrists are small and fingers around them touch and may overlap a tiny bit but is that enough to call me an ecto? (I have small wrists, ankles, not much muscle at all and all my extra weight is in my middle ), etc. So how do I know for sure I got it right??? I so want to start following the right program for me but I'm nervous that I may not have gotten it right??? Any suggestions??

Have a friend assist you with measurements/opinion of body type ... - They will be more accurate that way.

A tiny overlap would be Meso.

The measuments are easier with the video C_sharp linked. Having help is good, more help is better.

have you done blood type diet first??     it helps to get started - at least I think so.. it makes all the guess work go away.. also in the early ER4YT books, there was much more educational informating .. for background storage..

Being here is invaluable, but not enough. We need ALL the Doctors. I needed them for a very small cancer spot-I could never feel!!! Please do your mammograms! Doing so saved me from cancer later on. I am grateful! Thanks for learning from my experience! I was lucky! I wish the same for YOU!

Lloyd, it's more like they overlap a half of fingernail...still meso? or ecto? I also viewed the suggested video and used it to double check and remeasure...a couple of things changed but I still came out as an Explorer. (But then read on...)

Yes Goldie,, I did use my blood type...I know I am A+

Ok, so here's something maybe you could help me with...I went over everything and yes, scored higher on Explorer but then I went to the Advanced Calculator charts (using chart 1) as instructed and regardless, if I were a secretor or a non-secretor because I am a woman it automatically tells me I am a Teacher...so what do you think? Maybe I'm a Teacher afterall?

Thanks for your insight and help with this!

The Advanced Calculator charts will give you a more accurate determination

You basically have four options:

1) Follow the Teacher diet because that's how you measure in the Advanced Calculator.

2) Follow the Explorer diet, in spite of the Advanced Calculator results, if it just feels intuitively right.

3) Follow the Type A diet rather than either of the genotype diets.

4) Invest in a SWAMI. This will take your blood type, medical history, and the measurements used to determine genotype, and use them to determine a diet just for you. It will spit out a "genotype label" which may be Teacher or Explorer (or possibly Warrior) but the actual food list will vary from any of the published lists and be customized just for you.

#4 is the most accurate option, and is likely to give you the best results. However, it is more expensive.
