Sorry if this is a repeat question. I am new to message boards. I am Explorer....umm yay...lots of sarcasim in that "yay"....It works though. Been on GTD for about 4-5 years. Truely thankful to have found this diet. We have sheep....I have thought about milking them this lambing season. Does anyone know if Explorers can drink sheeps milk? I want to...if the effects of it won't make me crazy...haha. I am BloodType A-, prop taster, don't know secretor...and I am a Hormone that tries to stay balanced! ...Love being an explorer....at least I have answers now. Thanks so much in advance Ro |

I don't know about drinking the milk but I can tell you from experience that milking a sheep is harder than milking a cow. I did it once to collect the colostrum for an orphaned lamb. The nipple is very short. |

I haven't milked a cow. We have Coriente Cows....rodeo steers....they are good mama's and I wouldnt ever try and milk one...they are saavy cows and they would win. We have an Easy Milker...takes a lot of the work out of it. I want to cook and bake with the milk and maybe add to my occasional coffee Im not supposed to have. Anyone that knows.... I will share my milk! HAAHAA |

Sheep milk is unlisted for GTD. It can be considered "neutral, with caution." Since you've been on this diet for several years, you know how your body reacts when it's in balance and feeling good. You should be able to tell if you eat a new food and do poorly on it.
I suggest giving it a try, and seeing how your body reacts. If you react well, then you have a new food! If you react poorly, then give your body a few days or weeks to "clear out" and then I'd try making yogurt from the sheep's milk. Yogurt is a black dot for Explorers, and is neutral for A's (therefore an A Explorer is more likely to do well on yogurt than an O Explorer.)
Another option is to try the yogurt first, and if you do well try the raw milk. This way you won't have to have another "washout period" before trying the yogurt if the milk doesn't sit right with you. |

Thank You Ruthiegirl! I have been hoping the sheep milk was a possibility. I take fulvic acid everyday and it seems to lessen the reaction I have always had to dairy. I use buttermilk when I bake and do ok. The sheep milk just opens up a new variety of foods. I stay on course 65-75% of the time...this would bump that up and make me happy if it works! Didn't want to go through all the work of milking, upsetting the lambs and mama if it was a def, NO. Yeehaw...sheep wrangler I will be Thanks! Ro |

Hi Lola, Thanks for the reply. I llike Paneer and Ricotta. I haven't had Farmers. I do good with the sheep milk cheeses although I dont buy them much. My steady is mozzarella. Its easiest to buy. I do very bad with whey protien powder so I do all dairy type products in moderation. The hardest for me is baking.and saying no to coffee. I get on a coffee kick for a few months then get off of it for several months...its never ending with me and the coffee. Its like the Holy Grale on this Farm. Ro |

Ro is cool. Ro is the first "non mysterious" AB I have encountered on these boards. Interesting. I'm sending Ro a Texas "yee haw" |

Seraffa...I must be non mysterious because Im really not an AB...I am A-. How did I end up with the AB on my stat? I didnt fill out any stat stuff that asked my blood type when I signed up. Guess Im gonna have to figure out how to fix that.... At some point I would like to get swami. My personal life is fixin to go through some changes so maybe after the dust settles I will look into it. I have the genotype book and order a genotyping kit a year or 2 ago to genotype my hubby and son. They are both teachers, I like thier diet much better...but it makes me crazy so I stick with all these fruits and veggies I have never heard of...like the Kahlarabi I ate for lunch yesterday...with my non soy home made veganies mayo ranch dressing...the dressing is GOOD Yall! Normal hill billies don't eat this stuff....just lettin you know. I had one of my husbands cowboy friends eat some pumpkin chowder at our farm...his quote was " that was good...I aint ever had anythin like it and Im learnin all kinds of new foods over here" O well....there is always the coffee...and homemade biscuits and real butter I make every week for the boys.... |
