I was wondering if other Type Os or Gatherers have problems with ear wax build up? I myself used to have problems with wax build up but that problem has gone away since eating right.  However, my husband (a type O Gatherer), has really bad wax build up - so bad that his hearing is affected even when following the Gatherer diet. I was wondering if it's related to diet I guess or if anyone else has had this problem. I did a search but couldn't find anything on this specifically. Thanks.

I am still trying to do genotype calculator in the book.
The body- torso ration (longer then leg), finger(index) length all point towards 4 posible and the blood type says gatherer but strength test results
show that had lowest score(5).

Earwax buildup- noticed sons had the most during school year, wondered if
overabundance of stress, dairy, bread . Had noticed when school stopped and I
did a test run diet of no dairy- one had runs less often, other stopped nighttime leg cramps, and I felt better.
So dairy and stress would be good to look into. earwax is another way to rid
body of "stuff"

Thank you for your input.  I really appreciate it.

If you get SWAMI, can you use it for more than one person or only one?

He doesn't eat dairy or bread/wheat unless he is cheating but that isn't very often.  I suppose it must be something else or the dairy and wheat those few times he has it.

Thanks again!

Eat right is what I would follow, Super or Beneficials to a very large degree..

The exception might be to try using diluted vinegar in the ear of healthy husband. He would see fast if it would irritate him.. supposed to ward off infections.. might not hurt..

I have ear wax but it does not get trapped, I need Q-tips or go crazy with itching.. vinegar would help with itching..

You can get the professional version of Swami for up to 10 people..

Gatherers - is easy to determine.. shorter lower legs, and diabetes lurking somewhere in the old in the family?    sensitive to sugars? gaining or becoming hyper? liking it extra much?

Being here is invaluable, but not enough. We need ALL the Doctors. I needed them for a very small cancer spot-I could never feel!!! Please do your mammograms! Doing so saved me from cancer later on. I am grateful! Thanks for learning from my experience! I was lucky! I wish the same for YOU!

Well sons used to really get stressed from school and wondered if that caused
the super earwax.

Dont think am a gatherer as 110lbs at 5'5". whole family has been on lower 25% of weight. left handed. So not sure this is a diet for me.
Diabetes doesnt run in our family. Do like pastries though, but have been grain free for 2yrs.

@ Goldie - His legs came out shorter but he is quite tall. Don't think that makes a difference though. I wouldn't know about the diabetes because he's not close to anyone outside his immediate family and his parents are not around to tell him if diabetes lurks in the family (they both died of cancer within the last 5 years). I do know that two of his sisters are extremely overweight as are a lot of his aunts, uncles and cousins.  He used to be super skinny as a kid and a teen then when he came home from college he had filled out more and became built.  Started becoming overweight as time went on but now has lost 25 lbs. and continues to drop since being on this diet and exercising regularly again (I'd say he has 20 more to go to get back to his normal weight).  He fits a lot of the qualities of the Gatherer I thought but I guess everyone is a combo of different ones to some extent.

On sugar - he doesn't have much of a sweet tooth. He prefers savory things to sweet. I'm the one with the sweet tooth. He does get hyper sometimes but he gets that way when he's tired - he'll start acting super goofy.  I guess that doesn't count lol. I know he reacts negatively to any type of soda so avoids it. I know that contains a lot of sugar.

Anyways, may just be stress like others are saying.  He sometimes stresses out too much for his own good. And I will try the vinegar suggestion so long as he doesn't object. He's had ear wax build up problems his whole life. Used to have a machine to get rid of it.

@ C_sharp - Thanks for letting me know.  I figured as much.

Thanks again for all the advice, y'all.

Thank you for your input, Mother.

My ears and nose get itchy when I eat too much sugar and I guess I don't get wax build up any more because I'm not eating sugar, dairy or animal protein (other than fish) any more. In a weird way, I actually sort of miss cleaning out my ear wax lol.

I've had a long history of excessive ear wax buildup.  I've had to go to the doc many times to have them cleaned out.  I've always had a sweet tooth and am working on reducing my sugar intake.  I have noticed since following the btd/gtd it is not as bad as it was prior to starting these.

Mother,
Interesting what you say itchy inner ear is a sign of food intolerances. I get it with wheat and dairy.
I avoid dairy/gluten, but at odd times I've noticed t his happen with the ear but it doesn't last long and so I haven't given it much thought.  I'll have to pay attention to what I'm eating next time.

My Natural Doctor is an O and she told me every time she eats cheese her ears begin to itch! Being an A with sinus issues it happens any time with me!
