I just noticed all vinegars are considered toxic for Hunters. Is this true? I have gotten kind of attatched to apple cider vinegar but results vary from day to day. What are other Hunters using on your salad? |

I like a mix of olive oil, tahini and grape juice. With some herbs.
If you want something acidic use lemon. |

The only thing I put on my salad is my lips. I've gotten to appreciate the taste of fresh greens and don't miss the dressing. |

My husband is an O and had bad reactions to Apple Cider Vinegar. He was trying it because he had read about the health benefits and he did not know me yet or know about the blood type thing.
When he learned about BTD and his blood type it all made sense why he wasn't having a good result from it. He is either a hunter or explorer.

Ume plum vinegar is a beneficial on my swami. I just recently tried it, but only a very small amount since the sodium content is very high. A little olive oil and a smidge of umi whisked together and added to salad is a nice change. I don't use much olive oil on salad, saving it for cooking since the amounts are fairly low. If I add a can of sardines to salad, which I often to, the coating of oil on them is enough.

I use ume plum vinegar as well. It's supposed to be very alkalizing and it gets rid of bad bacteria. |

I'm not a hunter, but lemon juice is lovely if you're permitted it, IMO. |

To one big bowl of salad (30 min chewing min ) - juice of 1/2 lemon with same amount of pineapple juice/ grape juice/ cherry juice, - one tablespoon olive or linseed oil - a small pinch of herb salt, - three table spoons fresh garden herbs (one spring onion chopped/ basil/ chives/ clove of garlic or garlic greens or two tablespoons of pumpkin or sesame seeds/ chopped almonds Or all of the above Leaving out the salt if I add something tasty like tinned fish, parmesan shavings, curried chicken- you get the idea |

It hasn't been evaluated for BTD, so it can be assumed neutral for all types (unless an individual has a bad reaction to it.) It has been evaluated on GTD (genotype diet) and SWAMI (individualized diet software.) I think it's good for all 3 genotypes that O's can be, but I'm not 100% sure of that. I do know it's fine for Gatherer genotype. |

What are other Hunters using on your salad?
INGREDIENTS 1 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted 1 garlic clove, peeled 2 Tbsp. cilantro, fresh 2 Tbsp. scallion, fresh 1/2 lemon, fresh juiced 1/2 lime, fresh juiced Pinch of Celtic sea salt, or to taste 2 Tbsp. chia seed oil DIRECTIONS Place all ingredients except chia seed oil in blender. Start blending on low speed and step up to medium-high. With blender still on, slowly add the chia seed oil and blend until completely emulsified. IF type allows ... Creamy Option: Add one tablespoon of goat milk kefir for additional creaminess/flavor. Savory Option: Add two or three anchovy filets for increased salty flavor (this works especially well in a cold salmon- or sardine-based salad). |
