I do. It's going to wreck my weight loss efforts if I don't get the key to unlock this puzzle; because I'm an "A" explorer that is supposed to eat a certain few ounces of flesh foods and fish only a few times a week.
I can't figure out whether its the amino acids I'm going after... or the fact that explorer metabolisms are supposed to be slightly higher than just plain "A" and digest protein better ....what the heck it is. Dr. D'Adamo did not explain size of meals and frequency from a genotype perspective: only a blood type perspective.
(And NO, I am NOT buying a SWAMI. But thank you for reminding me, again. :-P)
But if I'm ill and my body is irritated - especially from an allergy - I'll sit down and shovel the meat in- with no veggies or fruits, but maybe some soy milk or yogurt - bit by bit until my stomach is nicely full, and it's time for bed. It's very comforting and filling, but keeps me heavy.
If I eat too much, I am not supposed to get rid of the excess calories with too much extra excercise, or run the risk of running down my immune system.
What do you think could be happening, here?
Most of the other times, I am not even craving flesh foods to begin with. I like my beans and lentils tremendously well. It's just when you stick me in front of turkey or lamb; diamond foods.
Somehow I think the Explorer digestion and circadian rhythm have to be factored in, but lastly - as a de-activated, recovered Bulimic, I know I already have high levels of the substance ghrelin in my gastrointestinal system; it makes me consume more food compared to other people.I have no clue as to what the timetable is for the "ghrelin gene" to be taking a back seat in the "town hall meeting" of my body!

Poor Lola - she just reminded me of my gut-fixing option last week. Is there such a thing as "cultured meat" for consumption out there?? |

I have a whole lot more meat, fish and poultry on SWAMI than I did on the GENO diet. I could not lose weight until I got off Greek yogurt. It is an AVOID for me now! I can pack in all the buckwheat I want and still lose weight. I just made some carob buckwheat pancakes and they are so good!!! Oh, and I sort of went by a recipe online concocted by one of those Englishmen who supposedly don't know much about good food! |
