For years now during the spring time when the wind starts to blow i suffer from anxiety and insomnia as i wonder if we Hunters are affected negatively by high pollen interacting with our highly over active immune and adrenalin systems? It's usually very windy with high pollen counts here in the southern new mexico desert from now until around mid may.

Can anyone recommend a hunter/blood type o friendly anti anxiety herb or tea to help?

You could try Valerian or Holy Basil.
Magnolia bark extract is probably the 'strongest'.
An adaptogen such as Rhodiola could work.

There are other possibilities. It might be better to address the issue from the allergy end.

Hi Tall-O, I'm an Explorer with a hyper-reactive immune system.  I have a similar climate in southern NV & I am absolutely miserable from Feb-June and then again in the fall.  We always have record pollen counts & high winds & it also creates a state of anxiety within me.  (coupled with a strong desire to flee this dust bowl & move to the ocean! )  I find peppermint tea calming, but recently started taking Quercetin (with Bromelain) along with my allergy meds & it seems to bolster the effects of the meds.  It doesn't do anything directly for my anxiety, but if I'm breathing better & sneezing less, I automatically am less anxious.  Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions Lloyd. I don't have any other symptoms of an allergy or hay fever however it's just a phenomenon that i've noticed over the last sevral years only when the spring winds really pick up and pollen counts are very high and so it's just a hunch about the pollen - hunter geno connection.

Hehe i feel exactly like you do Beachgirl as i'm pondering about moving back out to florida next year as i too miss it's beaches and water etc.  

Thanks for the suggestion about peppermint tea.

perhaps you might want to become aware what's the causa for your true anxiety
You might want to go for the http://www.enneagram.com and look what type you might be, understanding the integrative and also the oposite; the desintegrative ways might be some of "eye-openers* as well.
Adrenal stress-responses might be also a sort of culprit due to the fact of *doing too much* of all kinds in your life   
The clearer we are, the easier it will be ......

I used to have the same problem until my homeopathic doctor, who also studied chinese medicine found that all of my symptons were caused by my congested liver. I would be moody, anxious, irritable and downright edgy. My doc told me that Spring is a time of renewal in Chinese medicine and that my liver needed a little extra help. Once I started taking a little extra care of my liver in the Spring, I have been a new woman. My hubby isn't afraid to come home from work any more.
