I experience next to no stress in my life. Sometimes I just cuddle myself to sleep I am so happy. However, this can make me lazy. I want to be more proactive. So I bought some adrenal gland sups to take. They contain a small dose of cortisol. They do give me a sudden jolt of stress, rather like my mom just walked into my room and yelled at me to clean up.
To deactivate the "stress pill" I bought some liquid Holy Basil in a tincture. I have not tried it yet.
Do any other Os or explorers live such an idyllic existence that you wish you had some stress?
Do you think my artificial stress regimen is safe?
What is the long term of this? |

You're a type O. Enjoy your idyllic time being cozy and relaxed, but get yourself up and outside every day! Do some jogging, mountain climbing, kick boxing, sports (if you like them), get your blood moving. I vote NO on the adrenal supplements that you then have to take something else in order to balance. You can mess up your hormonal balance. |

Well, first of all I'm envious that you have such an idyllic existence that you are looking for stress. I don't think it's a good idea to take pills to give you stress! Are you kidding me????!!!!!
I agree with Lola, Spring and Victoria.....get moving instead. (I need to take my own advise on that one). Jane |

I took two of the pills today, worked on an invention of mine, I hope to finish it tonight. I already spent a thousand dollars on the prototype!
I sadly ate a sausage superme calzone from a pizza place. I will eat apples for the rest of my project day. I think the pills help alittle. I need some intensity! |

I could try that. But she does not understand my creativity. I can not work on inventions around her. (need mom in secret underground labratory!) |

Hmmm... Stress seems a natural part of my existence - maybe it's an O (Hunter), OMG my kidney/adrenals are on overdrive thing. I'm with Jane - are you mad introducing this stress hormone response into your life artificially!!!!!!!!! Go for a jog or something - is this an O (Explorer) thing???

Would it have anything to do with a fear she might have of the house getting blown up!?! Your mother's adrenals are probably the ones you need to be addressing - wouldn't ya sorta think?! |

I wouldn't do on that. I make use of Holy Basil as needed, but relying on supps (especially those that aren't a food base) to jerk you around is a not something I would do. Beware, it's a mindset that goes with pop a pill mentality. Most of America is burning out their adrenals with sugar, salt, and caffeine. Your body wants to be in homeostatis and does it's best to do so. Best to do that with giving it the nutrition it needs and letting it find a natural balance. O's do great with a good sweaty excercise. lol about your mom. |

The wheat and cheese are a drag on you, but quality grass fed and finished red meat keeps my O hubby's intensity going. |

Explorers seem to be more glycomically "bi-polar" than Hunters. Jared, your best kind of horomone adjustment comes from physical exercise. Buy a sledge hammer and break up a few shipping pallets to experience a better jolt. I prefer busting pallets, but anything that works for you is good. |

I might not need more cortisol. The Holy Basil which lowers cortisol had a better effect on me. I sleep better, and think more clearly, with a sense of confidence. |
