If the lactose was taken out of cows milk would it be ok for Hunters to drink or still considered a no no? |

Technically it would be 'unrated' but reasoning says to continue to treat it as an avoid. |

I think it is an avoid anyway, isn't it as the problem is the protein as well as the sugars in the milk. Emily reacts to lactose free milk exactly the same as she reacts to normal milk (if you can call any milk normal these days You don't need milk, try doing without it it's pretty cool after a while i have been off it for a few years now, doesn't bother me. |

True. Lactose intolerance is a totally different matter. Even B's can be lactose intolerant. The issue with Hunters is the proteins especially in cows' milk. I'm a hunter and buffalo milk is neutral for me. |

I've only seen lactose (away from milk) in some supplements, particularly homeopathics. I find that those make me congested, even though it's just a tiny bit of milk sugar, with no milk proteins at all. Which is especially annoying since one of the homeopathics I have in a lactose base is supposed to help with sinus congestion! If you don't have that kind of reaction personally, then you could use such supplements if the active ingredients were something you needed at the time.
I've never seen lactose added to anything other than sweetened condensed milk, (and that was over a decade ago- the sweetened condensed milk available in stores today contains sugar or corn syrup.) I can't imagine any kind of food product where lactose would be added, unless it was something very highly processed that nobody should be eating anyway. |
