I am a Nonnie Blood Type O Pos/Hunter! Does anyone have any advice for drinking Kombucha drinks sold in the Whole/Fresh Foods Markets?! Are they ok to drink or would you advice against it? Most drinks have vinegar in them and I think that is an avoid for O's. |

by the book it is an avoid for hunters. It is fermented tea, not vinegar, I suspect it is the black tea that makes it so, for black tea is also an avoid. |

Which is why I said by the book. I'm a swami Gatherer by the book I can have, by swami I'm not too. but she can't follow our swami (s) as it is personalized for our needs not hers. |

i bought a kombucha drink the other day ( american brand pear and something....) because i had never seen it for sale in new Zealand before and becaues i wanted to see how it compared flavour wise to the one i make. i definitly think that my homemade one using organic raw sugar and gen mai cha tea( green tea with roasted brown rice) is so much better, so i was pretty happy with that knowledge, lately i have been adding a naughty splash of a yummy lemon honey ginger syrup when i decant it to bottles which makes it delicious! since i am 12 weeks preganant and not indulging in nay red wine i do enjoy an iced up glass of kombucha, in the evenings, however i am taking it easy as it can be a bit of a detoxer i hear! so my advice is to make your own its really easy pretty fool proof i think! that way you know exactly what goes into it! if agave syrup wern't so pricey here i would use that but for now its the minumum amount of raw sugar to feed that SCOBY. so addictive!! only problem now is i have scobies coming out my ears so my relatives dogs are getting doggy chews for xmas this year ( dehydrated SCOBY!!!) |

also that way you can avoid 'natural flavours' I hate how they appear in so called natural foods, like my favourite brand of pineapple juice suddenly started using 'natural flavour' how natural are they really?? |

I was wondering the same thing. But I see recipes for it to be made with green tea, so should that be fine for hunters? I really like it, but someone mentioned no fermented food for us.... |
