I have a friend who is using Lion's Mane for memory. From a BTD/GTD/SWAMI point of view, has anyone heard of this and what is it? And is it compatible for B/Explorers? |

It is an unrated mushroom (Hericium erinaceus).
I have no basis to rate it.
Unrated foods (Hericium erinaceus is generally too expensive to be used as a food) are generally neutral.
Used in Japanese medicine. Available in pill form in the US. |
| MIfHI I follow a SWAMI diet. |

Thanks, everyone! Actually my symptoms are menopausal. My friend and I were comparing notes - she's from Brooklyn (and I told her about the new store!) She is being treated by a doctor who appears to be using some homeopathic methods for her and I was looking at what was working for her and realizing what I have been ignoring from Dr. D's encyclopedia. I've revisited the menopause section and see that Dong quai is a part of my protocol for my type - I'm already taking the other supplements/herbs. She is using the Lions Mane for memory issues and immune system boost and also Reishi for fibroids - seems to be working for her - but she's an "O". I was just wondering if adding the Lions Mane and Reishi would be helpful for me. At the end of the day what would be helpful for me is to be SUPER compliant with my daily food choices...and follow my protocol. |
