I've been on the BTD for about 3 months and was pretty excited to take the next step and figure out my Geno Type. My wife and I measured and tested, re-measured and re-tested, and at the end, my results were staggeringly close.....as in equal.  My numbers were as follows... Hunter-25, Teacher-25, Explorer-25, Nomad-25.  Since I'm an A, I can't be a W or a G, but even W was 25.  The lower result was G, it was 19.  Is this common or am I a genetic anomaly? Either way, what should I do next?

Use the advanced tables in the back of the book. You have enough information to use these tables, so you should use the advanced tables and ignore your strength test results.

being an A, you can be either a warrior, an explorer or a teacher
never a gatherer, so no worries, follow C sharp s advice first.

if you wish to kick it up a notch in regards to individuality, try a swami
and let the software do the guess work for you!

It seems like everyone that comes here as a newbie (myself included) has no idea which GenoTypes they could be for their blood type.  Maybe in future printings of the typing kit, they could add the blood types with the possible genotypes listed along with them.  It would save people from strength testing GTs that they couldn't be.  (and it would save all of you moderators & senior members from having to correct all of us constantly! ) I should probably post this under the suggestions, as it seems to come up quite often.

As an A, you can't be a Hunter either.

Using the advanced calculator in the back of the GT book is a good first step, since you know your secretor status.

When you buy a SWAMI, you will input all of the information into the computer program and then ask it to compute your genotype.  SWAMI will give you better food lists too!

And as an A you can't be a Nomad.

C Sharp is right on the money - it sounds like u have enough info to use the advanced calculator first.

Teacher, warrior, explorer... those are your options.

good luck!

I believe the The GenoType Diet book (aka Change Your Genetic Destiny) states in the description of each GenoType, which blood types are able to be that GenoType.

So the problem might be, people read the beginning of the book, and don't pay attention to the detail information in the specific GenoTypes section.

Knowledge is power.  SWAMI gives you the diet that will unlock the key to better health, and it's all based on your unique individuality.

That might be the case as they might want to know what they are before they read that section.

Thanks, Lola!  That's the first time I've actually seen the monographs.  I know it states the blood types vs. Genotypes in the book, but like many people, I got the kit before I got the book & long before I figured out how to navigate this site. That's where I think the confusion is... once I had the book, it was much easier to figure out as I read the book from start to finish.

If you know blood type you should use the intermediate or advanced calculators.

Step 1 in the strength testing section (of the GenoType kit) should eliminate all GenoTypes from consideration that are not compatible with your blood type.

In step 3, you only total the GenoTypes that are possible for your blood type.

In Step 4, the only entries with numbers to select between are GenoTypes compatible with your blood type.
