Hi, am a Genotype newbie.  I tried the Blood Type Diet to ill effect because I found out that I have an intolerance to eggs, caffeine, soy and a few others.  And upon disovering the genotype diet, the explorer characteristics were spot on.  I even suffer from candida as well.  Anyway, I want to begin making a meal plan for this diet and am wondering how much meat a Type A Explorer can handle and what time of day?  More protein in the morning or night? ONce a day? Twice a Day? Thank you for your help.

You can follow the geno book Explorer diet or use the SWAMI software. If using SWAMI then it is individualized to the user. I have 4 diamond red meats on my SWAMI list with moose and venison listed as neutrals. Red meats 3x per week, poultry 4x per week and fish/seafood 5x per week as my highest frequencies. Yours might be different.

Thank you for your response.  And how often throughout the day do you eat meat? And at what meals?

My SWAMI Explorer DD usually eats turkey about once a day.  It is either lunch or dinner, although once in a while she eats it for both.  She eats some fish on the days she doesn't eat turkey.  In addition to her meat, she eats a soy-based protein bar for breakfast.

Her favorite dish is browned ground turkey mixed with pre-cooked black beans, garlic, cumin and shredded Mozzarella put on a bed of lettuce and topped with avocado and more mozzarella.

I eat turkey at any meal sometimes chicken. Omelettes made from eggs and turkey meat. Usually eat most of the others at lunch or dinner. And it varies as to how much. I usually eat less meat/protein in the summer and considerably more in the fall and winter months. Eat chicken  with salads a lot in spring and summer. Fish for lunch or dinner.

I also eat a lot of nuts as protein and fat sources. Sometimes beans. The SWAMI is essentially a range of how much of any food group, but sometimes I will eat more or less depending on need.

No red meat huh?

Turkey and scrambled eggs, yum! One of my favorites.

Yep I get lamb, rabbit, goat and mutton as diamonds and venison and moose as neutrals, but I don't usually eat them until later in the day. Sometimes I will cheat and have beef but not more than 2 or 3 times in a month.

Turkey is great in an omelette
