Thank you C_sharp and Ruthiegirl. Your answers are more of what I was looking for and make more sense.

In my opinion the genotype diet book skimps on reasons, studies, and in depth explanations like it's more of a quick guide. As someone new to the idea and a person who doesn't just accept something because someone says so it's hard to  make sense of some things.

I'm used to eating totally fresh food, organic, always cooking at home, and being gluten free, dairy free, added sugar free, already avoiding certain foods. Being already dairy free I have not seen ingredients with added casein. So when I saw to avoid casein but knowing that it's in all dairy it didn't make sense since I didn't think of it as an additive and there were no specifics in the book.

If added casein is what's to avoid then that does make sense and I thank you very much for clearing it up.

That is why I bought and read Live Right for Your Type when I started. Even though the Genotype Diet came latter Live Right goes into a lots more explanation about the why. That is still my recommendation for newbies.

Are any types of Casein considered ok for B's\Nomads? Hydrolysate or Micellar or some other type? I find it really easy to add Protein Powder to meals that are lacking in Protein. I don't think I've had any problems with Whey and I'd like to try Casein for it's slower digestion benefits.
