It actually didn't go as planned. Didn't cook this evening. Got the SWAMI in the mail and started it instead. But believe me, I get too much rest, sitting at my desk at work. Tomorrow morning, I plan on cooking tofu and greens when my wife leaves for work at 7am. I'm going to start my day with coffee and the flax bread I made. Then some tofu, greens, and some leftover brown rice. I'm gonna be eating a cake of tofu a day at this rate.

Serotyping blood tests, further tests you can do, I am A2, my warriors DD and DH are A1 ... If you have not done that lab test, you can do it later ... Check this thread:
Got on the scales this morning and dropped another pound. I'm now at 227.
Did an inventory of my Dr. D Supplements in my arsenal, and now have the following:
All Genotypes Multivitamin (Exacta) All Genotypes Multimineral (Trifecta? ) Warrior Activator Warrior Catalyst All Genotypes CLA (Synergist) Cortigard Tranquility Base Live Cell A Polyflora A
Also have the Genotype Book and the Swami. Just ordered some PROP testing strips from supertastertest.com.
I know that I'm A+ Secretor and measured out as a Warrior. For the SWAMI, what else do I need to know? (I will probably just fill out as much as I can, then come back here to post all the things I don't know.)
Thanks, Cristina, for pointing me to the Serotyping blood test. So, I just go to my doctor and order that? He's gonna think I'm nuts, but hey, he already does.

Follow C-Sharp's advise on that link I gave you. And if you can, while you are at it, also get yourself the MN test. I just want to know as much as possible about who I am, down to the DNA ascentry ... but that is another story, or should I say previous thread ...

That's what I like to hear, Andrea. I was worried there for a moment I'd waste away and start talking with a high pitched voice. Thanks for stopping by my thread.

Maybe you should start focusing on how great you are feeling and a little less on the scale. Once a week to keep score on how things are going is just fine. At least you should be prepared not to get discouraged if the scale doesn't go down or even goes up temporarily. If that happens, just know that you are on the right track and you will get to where you want to go (weight-wise).
And we will always be here of course.
When exercising it's also great to have some water with a little piece of fresh ginger in the bottle. Quenches thirst very well.
You know, I just love reading your little updates, they are just dripping with enthusiasm. I had the exact same thing (I think we all have the exact same thing) when I started back in 2006. Ain't life grant when you eat right?
It's amazing, Sandra, I came home yesterday and stripped down to my shorts just to cool off because my blood is flowing so well. Thank the heavens my circulation is back. Anyway, I look in the bathroom mirror and go "Whoa!". Not to brag or anything but I'm looking 100% better, especially from the chest up. Face is thinner and tighter, chest and shoulders looking firmer. Of course, my Homer Simpson belly is this there. All I gotta do is poke it and "Look out for the waves of Jello! Thar she blows!".
The daily weighing is an idea from my Ma who weighs daily every morning. In the past, yeah, I would be discouraged by weight gain. But now, I'd get even more pumped to stay compliant, exercise more, do whatever it takes. Also, I would ask myself "Why?" Why did I gain that pound? So far so good, because...
Your weight should fluctuate a bit every day. While trying to avoid additional stress in my life I cut back to weekly or bi-weekly weigh ins these days. Of course, I'm 5'6" and 129 lbs too and certainly don't need to lose any more weight. I'm not a fan of the stringent regiments either. For me, they serve to create more stress and subsequently higher cortisol levels both of which I'm better off without.
So, I finally have a free moment to get back into filling out the SWAMI. So, I get to the section on Ancestral DNA and start reading the Genographic Project website and I am simply blown away. Wow, that would be something to have my DNA examined with just a cheek swab. What a world. Being a male I need to get 2 kits for $200. I'm gonna hold off on that for a while, as tuition payments are coming, gotta get the truck overhauled, etc. etc. But, that would be some fascinating stuff to know. That along with A1/A2, Lewis, and MN I need to do eventually. So, just by giving blood at the Red Cross I can find out A1/A2, Lewis, and MN? I ordered PROP strips so I'll know that soon. Emailed my Ma on the family health history stuff (I know some of it already), so this thing is coming together.
I got all kinds of pills to give me all kinds of thrills.
Here's my supplement regimen these days:
Non-NAP Supp's: NOW Resveratrol 200mg Planetary Herbals Full Spectrum Salvia w/MSV 60 1020mg Centrum Performance Multivitamin/Multimineral, this contains 70mcg of Selenium Fiveleaf Gynostemma Herb Extract 150mg Nature's Answer Feverfew 250mg Colorado Nutrition Alpha Lipoic Acid 100mg Now B-6 (as Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) 100mg Himalaya Pure Herbs Punarnava (Boerhaavia diffusa) 250mg Spring Valley Tonalin CLA 1000mg Vital Choice Salmon Oil 1000mg Jarrow Forumlas Pantethine 450mg (for the Skin Protocol) Neighborhood Co-op Vitamin A 10,000 IU (for the Skin Protocol) Source Naturals Melatonin 5mg
NAP Supp's: Polyflora A (also for Skin Protocol) Live Cell A Tranquility Base Cortiguard
Whew! Never took so many pills in all my life.
Also, for the Skin Protocol I'm making Burdock root tea, and using the Genoma Night Creme. I'll tell ya that Burdock root tea when you let it sit a while turns this bright green color that was kinda shocking first time I saw it. It has a nice mellow flavor that I really like, too.

Why so many supplements?

Why would you ask Dr. D?

I would only take the NAP supplements for now and see if more is needed. Don't forget you are eating healthy and supplements are really for those with ailments who need extra support or for people who feel they are not getting all their vitamins. Or just want to increase their progress. You don't really ail anything as far as I've seen, so a lot of supplements are not really needed.
Remember, Swami gives suggestions on supplements. It's not a must. But for me Swami only gives me NAP supps, so I have to ask where did all the non-NAP supps come from?
Did you know that he recommended 22 supplements for me when taking that test that Lola posted? How do I know what I should take and what I should not? There are 9 supp's listed for Warriors. There are 3 additional ones for the Skin Protocol. There are others that are supposed to be "good" for me. I'm only taking just a couple of those. Many of his supps say to take 4 pills a day. E.g., Polyflora A. Does this answer your question? You wanna give me some input as to what you think I *should* take?
