Sorry to neglect you so much Mayflowers, I am just pre-occupied with work, grandchildren, music, having fun, and looking after myself....

Hi Jenny, great to see you again  .  I didn't mean to bother you ..I was looking for a Warrior close to my age..55 who's in M so I can compare notes and see.  You say you balooned up at 62? My mom, who was an A , had thyroid problems in her late 60's I believe. She went on synthroid, then lost a lot of weight because of the dosage then they stablized her. I think part of my problem is gluten. I've been off gluten since last week and my carb cravings for sugary food and other grains has really dropped. I can't believe gluten did all that plus affect me mentally!

Hi Revitalize

I have kefir as a super beneficial as well. I'm not crazy about the flavor..the flavored ones have too much sugar. I used it instead of buttermilk in baking.

My mom (82), sister (60), and I (48 ) are all Warriors.  It can get really animated and heated during our conversations.  We call it our 'therapy'.  My mom and sis follow the GTD, and I'm the only one with a SWAMI.

Dr. D is the only male Warrior I know. My sister who I believe is a Warrior, and I get along ok but we argue.. mostly over her lousy attitude about her health. I know, I know. I should let her be. It just really hurts me to watch her kill herself.

So what do you all think? Would two Warriors get along if they got married or would there be war all the time?

Hi

My swami gives me cow's milk kefir as a diamond, and I absolutely adore the stuff! I prefer the plain. Someday, I'll even start making my own at home, but for now I'm satisfied with making my own water kefir and kombucha.

It's a neutral for me.   It's horrible. Tastes like tea that went bad. It's a benenficial for you?

Kombucha (black tea and sugar) is neutral; I make it at home using green tea/agave. Since black tea is neutral and green tea is a diamond, I'm thinking homemade is slightly better than neutral.

I love the taste!

I don't fight or argue, but I do get very passionate about things I believe in, and can get quite emotional..it can be a bit of a roller coaster. As I get older I am getting to laugh more though.

Hi revitalize. Hope anything you learn on the forums help you.

I'm learning acceptance. I was talking to Dr. D about that Saturday. I asked him how does he stay so calm, being a Warrior? He said it was something he's been able to do, over the years with his work and accepting what is, because of the nature of his work, he had to be able to handle the criticism and continue his research.  So, I'm practicing 'acceptance". It's a Zen practice as well, just accept things that come to you and don't fight or resist.  awesome.

Lola, glad you can join us...

Questions for Warriors,  What is the one food that's beneificial for you that you don't like? How do you get it in your diet?

More or less choke beans down and hope for the best! If I make mush out of them to supposedly aid digestion, they go straight through me and I don't feel I get any benefit from them. Various peas seem to agree with me more.

Mayflowers,

You don't put your age on your profile   is it somewhere else?

I'm a warrior, obviously post menopause, have bilateral hips resurfs, but am not very good at the warrior diet!!!  I'm back for some support, encouragement and ideas    as not doing so well with stress of moving house and country.

I chose not to display my age.   But I'm 55.  You don't have to display your age if you don't want too.
I'm a mom of two sons, 19 and 21.   I had bilateral hip replacements in 2004. We must have the same type of hip gene lol.(I'm part Brittish on my Warrior dad's side, also Irish and Scottish. My dad's family originated in Ireland and moved to England) I was born with displaced hips and so was my older sister. They only found them on me but we both ended up needing hip replacements.  No one else in our family had any hip problems so it's weird.
I started meditating again. It really helps. 20 mins. once or twice a day. I also have a relaxation session that I do from Midwest Center.

Twins with 10 years between us Mayflowers   My hips were repaired in May 2004!!!!!also. Both my parents had bilateral complete replacements but none of my 3 siblings are following in our footsteps.
I still have most of my own bone, just reshaped a bit to cup and cap the acetabulum and head of femur.
I sometimes suspect I could do with being gluten free but feel absolutely awful when I have a day or 2 off it.

Last night I had a salmon sandwich on rye with soy mayo and had some yerba mate ice tea. I slept like a baby! The first full 8 hours I've had in over a month! Wow, I feel good! Woke up at 5am this morning and actually feel like doing something with my day!

That is so different from the way I reacted to it! I was really hyper. I remember Ribbit saying some time ago that she reacted to it the same way. Maybe a person gets used to it eventually...?

Hip resurfacing was not approved in the US back in 2004.   I had no choice but to get total replacements. Not until 2006. I couldn't wait anymore.

You feel awful off gluten? That's interesting. The next day after not eating it, my depression disappeared.

Hello I've been following you with interest for awhile now!!  I need help completing my profile - - I am a Warrior also.  Been doing well experimenting with the geno-diet!  Was on the A+  blood typye/nonnie diet for years.  My question is this:  Any of you SWAMI Warriors (nonnies or not)  have the  EXPLORER's spaded/shoval teeth like I do ?  It seems like we Warriors are the VEGANS of the groups BUT the spaded/shoveled meateaters front top teeth will probably change with SWAMI !  What are the basic USA's (animal) meat, poultry, fish, egg & dairy foods the SWAMI listed for you?  I do have a few other explorer traits as well as a few teacher's also! Of course I"ll bet no one is 100% purebred !

Hello, help needed I measure as a warrior table wise, longer index finger on both hands legs longer than torso upper longer than lower , facial flushing and A+.

yet I am highly affected by caffine with an extremely square jaw -narrow gonial angle to the x-treme and shovelling front teeth and an ectomorph with loops and arches different fingerprint patterns esp on index fingers.

I am waiting for my paycheck to order swami express i neeed it!! however I am unwell at the moment and have been for the past 5 months with a low white blood cell count with reoccuring low iron- feeling pretty weak and at my wits end!

and have been following the warrior diet. oats and soy make me gain weight and always have done, a glass or a bowl of oats gives me an inch of fat all over the body and bloating- can't be right?

i am thinking i may not be a warrior? I just want to heal, even though it says i am warrior on the table is it possible i am not a warrior?

MF why not just eat veggies more? I know kale and grapefruit help me maintain my weight. I am a bit younger then you but still on the verge of M.

Eating three diamonds at every meal will help with your weight.

You need to commit yourself to following 100% to eating diamonds.

Focus on what you can do-- your talk is often very negative . I take a few minutes each day to be grateful for the small things in my life, it helps tremendously.

It is quite possible that some other Genotype will be majority when all of the data is taken into account with SWAMI, rather than just the three items in the tables...  My DD went from Teacher by the tables to Explorer with SWAMI and is MUCH happier with how her diet makes her feel, even though she has much less food to choose from.

Hello, thank you , a brilliant discovery! my torso and leg length were not measured properly , torso longer after re-measuring so I am now a teacher table wise, I love my turkey! Strangely enough my brother fits the teacher description to a T it is incredible with his caucasian epicanthal folds dark eyes and dark hair etc he has always looked aisian with no near aisian relatives. I have them slightly also but thinking that swami may say explorer because of caffine sensitivity , boarderline anemia, dyslexia, endless allergies- far too many anti histamines consumed, no whorls.

However, we shall wait and see looking forward to the swami result.

Just wondering if any other warriors suffer from low blood pressure and if it has anything to do with our less firm veins/thick blood?  Is this something to be concerned about, if so would more vigorous exercise help?
