The one food I can't eat is chocolate. I am allergic to it so much so that it changes my personality. I love chocolate. Sigh.
Even cocoa? I'd say have carob.. I love carob. |

Mayflowers, It's great to have a Warrior thread. Thanks for starting it. Here's my food list for today:
Breakfast:
3 scrambled eggs cooked in ghee over Suzie's thin rice cakes with a layer of farmer's cheese. I finally found a store that carries farmer's cheese and I'm loving it. Never had it before because I couldn't find it in stores.
Snack:
Lots of watermelon with some Ricotta Cheese
Lunch:
Skinless and Boneless Sardines mashed with sour cream (neutral) over Suzie's thin Rice Cakes. One Rice cake with peanut butter and cucumber slices.
Snack: Plums and a teaspoon of peanut butter
Dinner: Brown Rice vegetable stir fry with one egg, onion, garlic, cauliflower, and celery. |

I'm with you, Mayflowers, I won't even try snails. Another one I won't try is sardines. All those years of working in pizza restaurants turned me off to tinned small fish with bones. I can't even eat tinned salmon, and especially not tinned salmon with skin and bones. Not sure I'll ever get over that one. |

So, it's the texture you don't like? .. Try putting the miso in the split pea soup..it really enhances the flavor and doesn't really add any of it's own. You'll get the benfits of soy then.
I doubt that it is the texture... I think the tofu doesn't digest well. It'll sit for half hour to two hours then report back. One of these days, I'll get the gut healed enough to be able to handle it... |

The black bean soup was soooo good! Actually it was too good. lol Felt a bit like it cleaned out my system so well that my metabolism has been so good that I had to eat some grains for the rest of the day to feel "full". I am constantly hungry but not in the mood to eat or make anything. haha I never thought I'd complain about my metabolism being "too" fast! lol |

I'm constantly hungry too chris...Is that a Warrior thing? Sharon, nice menu. I hate rice cakes though. It's like eating styrofoam. I don't have to eat sardines. They're only a neutral for me thank goodness right Drea? Joe, I found lately..and I don't know if it will last, that food combining is helping. If I eat fish or turkey I don't have starch with it. I try to have fruit alone and I have my starches separately. When I combine meat and bread, I get acid reflux..pressure..pain. I'm getting checked for pylori soon and gluten intolerance by blood work. I'm also getting a complete serotyping panel to see my blood sub stuff..the MM or NN or whatever and the secretor. If' it's pylori, then food combining won't help. I mean I get burning.. Also getting the vitamin D levels checked. Today I made a good smoothie.. Kefir, soy powder, ground flax, lecithin, cocoa powder, vanilla, frozen mixed berries and black berries..with two packets of stevia. Very tasty. I had that with almond butter on whole wheat. |

Being constantly hungry a Warrior thing? I'm not sure. I hope for that it's just a pregnant thing. lol My metabolism seems to be faster than it ever has in my entire life and I didn't know my correct blood type or my geneotype until after I was pregnant already. So really I'm not sure how I'll feel being not pregnant and following this diet. The only thing I can think is... THAT MUCH MORE AMAZING! lol Yep, don't know about the hungry all the time bit or not.
I can't get into eating rice cakes either. Not a fan of sardines. I must say though the artichoke I had today was a take it or leave it experience. I sprayed some braggs amino acid on it for flavor after I steamed it. But really I didn't enjoy it or anything.
Feeling like it's time for a nap but also like I should shower and get out of the house. I think the nap will win though. |

Buy organic seeds to sprout with. Many seeds are treated to keep them from sprouting, but the organic ones are free of those chemicals. |

Thanks for the tip mrstwobears. I ordered some powdered kelp, spiralina and barley powder for my green smoothies. I use raw spinach and or beet greens, sometimes kale.. in the vitamix. I'm looking forward to a nice green smoothie today. I add some frozen berries for flavor. I just can't seem to mix the protein smoothies with the greens..it tastes weird. |

c**p! lol There's goes my "only because I'm pregnant" hope. Well I guess I'll just have to get used to eating more often. When I do eat though I don't feel like eating a lot. Portion control is just naturally getting better without any conscious efforts on my part. YAY! I'll have to keep everyone updated on how quickly the extra weight comes off after I have my son. Should be fun to see what happens! I'm exciting already! |

Small meals are healthier than 3 large ones, and easier on the digestion. I always ate like that when I was younger. I'm trying to get back to that. It makes the metabolism faster. I do seem to have more energy when I eat smaller frequent meals. |

How similar we are one Tribe. I am less ravenous then I once was. Ordered my first case of sardines for my family, they said they would eat them. They are boneless and skinless I don't mind them, I am a taster, how about everyone else? |

Like I said previously, sardines are not a beneficial for me. Anchovies on the other hand are. I like them on pizza...now white pizza. |

Sardines are a superfood for me on my Swami and I eat a can in water drained almost everyday. Sometimes I put lots of chopped celery, onion, olive oil, lemon, and a pinch of kelp or turmeric. Some days I put a spoonful of sour cream or yogurt and mix it all together or make my own mayo like Lola mentioned, just olive oil and egg. The sardines help keep my mood level.
My Swami says Sardines are geno harmonic with these foods:
Black tea Broccoli Raab, Rapini Celeriac Cranberry juice Endive Hearts of Palm Green leaf lettuce, iceberg Mamey Sapote Oyster mushrooms Squash Watercress Watermelon seeds (anyone know where I can get this? is this the black seeds from watermelons?) |

I'm working on a recipe Joe. I'll post it soon. Sharon...I'm glad you like sardines...I'll eat them once in awhile..but I don't like em. I think you get more fish than me because you're an AB... Lola, the seedless watermelon has seeds in it..tiny ones. So you get the benfits of the seeds when you eat that. Watermelon is a neutral for me..I don't eat it very often. I used to love it as a kid but I got sick of it as I got older. |

Mayflowers, I just looked at my Swami and it says only 3 fish servings/week. I don't eat any other fish except the occasional wild salmon when it's in season. I'm going to start to pay more attention to the serving suggestions. I'm a very hungry Warrior so servings and portion conrol are hard for me. |

Leanne do you sprout regular store bought beans or do you buy organic ones? We tried sprouting back in the 70's ..the seeds used to get rancid on us. I'd really love to start sprouting again..
Well, I checked them this morning because I've been.....uh...tied up, you might say, and they're sprouted! No mold, which is what I thought might happen. They taste like dirt, but if they're good for me, I'll eat them. I watered them again and tomorrow I might put them in the fridge so they don't try to make leaves or anything. The sprout part is about half an inch long. |
