Hm well to each their own! I know people who do not feel right without Kombucha. I know for me it does more good than harm by far. That may change but has not yet.
Maybe it is a non-secreter thing or something...
I'm one of those. I love me some home brew. Plus it's the only vinegary taste I can get, now that vinegar is an avoid. I'm playing around with making salad dressing of some kind from it. Yay for fermenty goodness! |

I'm curious why it's important to follow turmeric with yogurt or probiotics. I just bought some turmeric and plan to use it more. Thanks for the suggestion.
I think it's because in large amounts it can alter not only bad but good bacteria, but I'll try to look it up. Plus, curcumin, which they sell in the health food stores, is the active ingredient in turmeric and thus pretty potent. |

I don't think I would like it at all! It is a black dot for me. |

I read about sesame being good for warriors... It is like taking speed for me or something. It makes my circulation go up a lot. It helped me not be cold today since the temperature around here is low.
The turmeric seems to of done some good. I picked up some Reuteri. The affects have not been extremely immediate but going to the bathroom was improved and I feel like there is less pressure in my intestines. I think everything if getting filtered out.
My kidneys finally feel a bit better as well. I might be coming out of it all now. We will see. I am slowly retaining water more (not going to the bathroom because kidneys are over-working and making the need to urinate).

I make my own kombucha. I bought a SCOBY from the Kombucha Mama or kombuchakamp.com. I'm a warrior. Kombucha is vinegary- so does that mean a warrior shouldn't have it? |

Ps Kombucha and raw milk have helped me tremendously BEFORE my hysterectomy and the doc found endometriosis EVERYWHERE! I'll start the Warrior diet on Monday. |

I am having kidney trouble from the inflamed state of stress with blood etc... (warrior thing I guess) My urine has smells to it. My ability to process things slows down in general to the point that I can not even eat soy. Usually though I can ingest alcohol, soy, you name it, if the bacteria is under control..
No, more of a water thing. Obviously you're dehydrated. You may have a kidney infection.. You should see a doctor. 64 oz of water a day. And a ton of cranberry and blueberry juice would help. I also take D-Manose |

Kombucha tea is rated in The Genotype Diet. For Warrior (by the book) it is neutral since it doesn't show up in the beneficial or avoid lists. |

Mrsnormal - Kombucha may have a tangy/sour taste that you are identifying as vinegary, but it doesn't become vinegar - that's a completely different kind of "mother". It reminds me of hard cider without the sweetness. If it's okay on your food list, it's okay |

I've been drinking a bottle of Kombucha per day for about a month now and WOW... what a difference it makes in digestion. It's as if the low stomach acid in A's and AB's get the assist that we need. And I really like the flavor! But it's not wine. You'll get "vinegar" if you stick your nose in it |

Yuck. I can't stand the taste... I'd rather drink keffir |

Thanks for the replies. I make mine at home and I flavor it with 100% juice (that I can have). Yummy. And it helps me too. |

Feed the good guys with jerusalem artichoke (sunchoke or sunflower tubers)? You can use a mandolin to slice thin and drizzle a little olive oil and eat raw. |
