This is day 5 on my new food plan - Warrior - previously Teacher. I haven't had cheese in 5 days, except paneer (not really cheese) Eating beneficial veg - love spinach. I am constipated. I was having no trouble at all on the teacher diet. Sometimes diarrhea. I'm guessing this is fine. Just need some support. Other than that I feel fine. It's feels like I am on a new journey. Last night I made cinnamon date nut balls. Felt like I was eating a good oatmeal cookie. Yum! Dates are amazing - and they are still beneficial! Yippie! |

Hey creativeclaire. Good to hear that you are feeling fine on the Warrior diet. Are you getting in enough liquids? Keep the water and teas going in and it will help things move along. Debra |

Flaxseed is a diamond for warriors. May want to see if you can work this into your diet, if you are not already eating it. |

I would be pounding soy, miso, and diamond grains with vegetables when I was not spooning almond butter and peanut butter, if I was you. |

In my Genotype book, Fruits, Warrior page 263 dates are black dot. that's a long way from beneficial. Has there been a correction, or update that I don't know about? |

Dates came up beneficial for me - according to my swami.
Glad to share Date Nut Balls
I have made these with different things. Add crystallized lime, subtract cinnamon. Dried cranberries, dried cherries, dried apples, cocoa powder, vanilla extract... whatever you like. Experiment!
2 cups dates 1 cup raw almonds 1 cup raw walnuts 1 cup toasted oats 1 cup toasted flaxmeal 2 teaspoons cinnamon
Toast oats and flaxmeal for about 15 minutes in a 325* oven. Food process nuts. Set aside. Food process dates. Add nuts, oats, flaxmeal, & cinnamon. Process until it is one big ball. Pull off pieces and roll into balls. Store in airtight container in the refrigerator.

Sounds delicious. Couldn't Warriors just substitute figs for dates? Kind of like a Fig Newton cookie.....I used to really like those.
This would be great on those days when I crave something "sweet". I'm going to try this one on the weekend too. |

Do you think that the date balls could be made without the oats? I'm still looking for a cookie substitute that will work for me when I'm really jonesing for something in that realm, but I want to keep it grain-free. The problem I find is that none of these things really do the trick...they all taste and feel like a substitute and don't quell the craving. |

How about a flaxseed, strawberry, yoghurt (or soymilk) smoothie. Strawberries are in season, so I would say.... smooth away! |
