So... I had a test by my naturalpath last year for antioxidants and vitamins and I was low on the Vit C and antioxidant front.

I cannot take Vit C due to my Iron situation, so she suggested squeezing lemons and drinking the juice, but this gives my tummy an ache... (other Hunters experience this?)

So how much do we Hunters need of the Vit C ?

Hi funkymuse,

What about grapefruits and grapefruit juice, can you tolerate them?  If so, they are a great source.  I have been trying to put organic lemon juice (bottle) dripped on some of my foods, because like you I can't drink it or use too much.  I find I can tolerate the bottled concentrate of lemon juice easier than freshly squeezed.  Not really sure why.

Green peppers, if you can have or tolerate those, are LOADED w/ C as well.

Well.. I drink about 6-8 oz of grapefruit juice in the mornings.. how much do you think I get from that?

Also sadly can't do peppers right now - hurts my joints.

And I'll certainly check into the Quercitin Plus.

Thank you all!!!

funkymuse,

Typebase says - This food (8oz grapefruit juice) is a significant source of vitamin C (93.86 mgs. per 1 cup )

I also heard somewhere that cabbage is high in Vita C and it is a neutral for us.

TR ... is cabbage a black dot or a neutral?  boy I'd love it if it was a neutral!

funkymuse,

Cabbage is neutral in the book, not listed in either column and at GTD site.  I am pretty sure cabbage is neutral.

Check it out and keep me honest (ask Lloyd - regarding me recommending sour cream as a neutral to someone).  I swear that I looked a few times regarding sour cream and didn't see it listed right there in toxins!
