Quoted from Adam
I'm so in the zone on my SWAMI Teacher diet right now it is so amazingly great...
Now sitting here at work feeling so relaxed and healthy.  Folks, all it takes is a little effort and a "want to" attitude.

Excellent! I felt the same enthusiasm when it all came together. Feels good to feel good!

I haven't done SWAMI yet but measurements make me a teacher. Being a nonie though I do have many of the intolerances of the explorer, supplements, OTC and prescriptions. Mold foods ie peanuts and melons cause me trouble. Dairy also is a problem. Don't know but SWAMI may make out to be an explorer. Also am an ENFP some people have stated that personality can make a difference, would like to hear from people on this.

UnclePaul,
I strongly suggest getting a swami. Many questions will be answered!
FYI...I measured teacher by the book and am a secretor, ISFJ, and have several explorer traits!( Reactive worldview, finger prints, body style, environmental sensitivities) I can run my swami with either western or southern heritage and one will make me an explorer, the other a teacher! The percentage of teacher in me is one more than explorer so I follow my swami/ teacher eating plan. I could actually follow either one of the diets (my swami explorer or my swami teacher) as I have compared them very carefully...remember, we are all unique, but I choose to follow teacher as I get a bit more variety.

There are different theories, but my personal take is that because my dad is an O- explorer I think it has influenced me, as we share so much more in common than I do with my A+ mom.

Cajun,
Yeah I really need to do SWAMI, I have tooth shoveling and my fingerprints are different except my thumbs. Lately been comparing BTD non secretor and genotype and trying to piece together something that works. For me laying off wheat is paramount it really kinda wrecks me physically, seems to be my biggest problem. The one thing I haven't tested yet is my taster status might try to find the strips around here if not will order from Dr. D.. My mom is an A- who carries a recessive O gene, my blood type A sis has an blood type O son. My dad was blood type AB although some things point to him being a non secretor he's gone so I'll never know. Wherever the gene mutation came from its all landed on me, neither of my siblings have dealt with the unexplainable health issues I have. I guess I'm special after all. Almost forgot because I haven't eaten any in so long, soy doesn't work well for me cant pin it down just don't feel right when I eat it.

Finally summers here, was complaining about the rain 2 days ago now its 92 and sunny, like they say don't like the weather now just wait 5 minutes. Gotta love the great NW. Time to shed some winter pounds. Keep ya posted.

Paul

UnclePaul,

Ditto on the soy for me! Don't know why, either. Doesn't agree with me.
I am able to use a bit of soy milk in my twice weekly coffee but cannot even use it for cereal...I use almond or rice milk.
Ditto on the wheat, also. It just screws everything up!

As a type A non, eating wheat and dairy makes me feel tired and gross after a few days--though spelt doesn't seem to be as much of a problem as other wheat.
