In looking at the Hunter diet, I see that under fruit it says
At Least Three Times a Day
Could I eat more? I have been eating a LOT of fruit this summer. All diamonds, of course! |

It does say 'at least' three times a day. Your body will let you know when it has had enough. Enjoy. Debra |

ouuu, I love this! SB do you have a juicer? I can make fruit sorbet with mine! Yesterday we made a cranberry, mango, banana, peach sorbet and I mixed in Chia seeds and some Mimic cream! Man oh man! I eat frozen banana's all the time.. I buy the real ripe ones, wrap them in saran wrap and freeze um up! they are like eating banana ice cream! In fact, I don't even eat regular bananas anymore, these are so good. And welcome to the Hunter world! Did you see the old Hunter Recipe thread? It has some great ideas on it... |

Thanks, FM and Debra...
um.. ok, but the problem is is that I'm eating more fruit that greens because I like salads and there aren't as many raw salad greens available... actually right now I'm having a salad of raw turnip greens, pineapple, pear and banana.... pretty good! and no, I don't have a juicer.. I sort of prefer to get the whole fruit... I do have a vita mix blender, though, so I do chop it all up there...! |

I'd go for the fruits rather than the juices. The juices are in a different category (beverages) after all.....
You'll know if you are using too much fruit. Under BTD I routinely abused the rec's by having about 8 servings/day during the summer. Enjoy! |

so you think that's ok? And I'm not talking about the juice.. I'm eating the whole fruit. |

Sounds fine. If you aren't gaining weight or having other undesirable effects, enjoy. Best if they are diamonds. |

The only problem is , is that I am having more fruit than protein and live foods.... but right now it's really working for me.
I am not having protein at every meal.... I feel GREAT, but I wonder if I should be following the specific amounts more closely? |

SheriBerry...you could try upping your protein a little and see how you feel. If you don't feel any different keep it where you are comfortable. The live foods are wonderful. The best way to get water into your body. Again, your body lets you know how it feels. Debra |

The whole fruit is great, that is where the fiber is and it supplies needed water and other nutrients. |

If it is working for you that is great. Your body will tell you when you need to eat more protein. In the summer, I generally eat somewhat less protein and more seasonal fruits and vegs. I have found that if I stick to the plan 70-80% of the time that I get good results. Living in the south, increases the demand for liquids and this includes water, juices from fruits and vegs and the whole fruits itself. No need to feel guilty about consuming more fruits. |

Hmmm ....for me personally, I prefer a balance. Too much of a good thing can be bad. That's just me though... |

I would not eat fruit at the expense of not getting at least the minimums of other food classes, especially meat/poultry/fish. |
