I think I've pretty much read the whole GTD book now.  Besides all of the diets and there are some things I didn't see in it.

Like for example: the principle of eating only 1/2 hour after drinking water and fluids.  I'm assuming this is still a good thing?  And the fact that A's and AB's have low stomach acid really aren't in this new book.  I would think if you just started the GTD without ever doing the BTD, you would miss some gems.  Seems like it would almost be recommended to do the BTD for a little while and read the books to know the diet better and then move on to this.  

Or am I crazy?

Another thing, I remember reading that AB's have a problem with low blood sugar and he recommended to have something dairy to boost it up and regulate it.  Yet, as a Nomad, I'm not suppose to have milk at all.  I can have yogurt and kefir still (woooohoooo!) therefore I'll just stick to them.  But this is not really addressed on the Nomad diet.  I can have a bunch of different cheeses too though.  Whoooohoooo.  But the frequency is about the same.  More eggs though.  Woooooohooooo!!!!

I really like the Nomad diet, I'm just trying to figure it out properly.  Next thing is to try and find some of these cool meats I've never had and introduce them slowly.  Like Emu and Ostrich.  Wooooooohoooooooo!!!!!

Eating 1/2 hr after drinking is in the original Eat Right book,but having read Eat Right and Live Right first would at least generate more understanding on what the genotypes are all about. Knowing one's secretor status, fine tunes the diets.

Well, as I understand it, the measurements are the key.  I strength tested the most for a hunter.  But due to my blood type, it's not even possible to be a hunter.  I just have some of the physical traits of one.  If I figured it correctly.  But my Nomad strength was pretty high too.

I also find it important that Peter repeats information.. and sprinkles all his books with new information.
  
It has taken me a long time to finally implement the mediation/alternate nostril breathing into my life (I still fight with myself every morning about doing it). The reason I do it is because every one of Peter's books recommends it for BT A's. If I just read the GT book it might be the section that I would just skip over. But because I have all this previous knowledge of ER/BT books I know how important it is. My knowledge base makes the experience/changes of the GT diet so much fuller for me.





What has become very evident to me about Peter's style is that he will not spoon feed you. He wants you to "own the changes" that you make in your diet and lifestyle. The only way to achieve this is to lead people on a journey of self discovery so in the end they know themselves, and realize he was right all along.

Good post!  Yes, you know what thing I have to try that he keeps recommending that I haven't, the dry brushing thing.  I don't know where to get one of those brushes.  But I'm sure I can figure it out.  I did take a bath about 2 weeks ago and scrubbed my feet really well.  For some reason, there gets to be a build up of dry skin on my feet regularly. Like on the top and in between the toes.  It was kind of gross how much came off, but I think this is similar to the dry brushing thing.

Nice thread! We all have favorite foods we have to give up!
We probably all have foods that are good for our types, but have our own personal 'alleriges' to.
Yes, I think it is good to have known about the BTD before starting the GTD. Even tho they are supposed to be different diets, I still think they are related. But, each one synergistically works within itself. Did I word that right?
Nomads seem to like being nomads better than most of us like our types.
I'm so glad you are really getting into the diet. Stick with it & stick with us, the BTD/GTD friends.
