Chinese Skullcap, Baikal Helmkraut, Gold Root
{Scutellaria baicalensis or S. macrantha - Lamiaceae}

Though different in action from the more common S. laterifolia found in USA - It would be more in common with the Scutellarias found in Europe. Say S. galericulata
If you care, the seeds are available to grow this out from sources like http://www.b-and-t-world-seeds.com

S. galericulata & S. discolor both contain the Wogonin.

Ouu I'm glad you have clarified Schluggell.  I have the Scutellaria Laterifloa fresh freeze dried flower and leaf.  Will this do the same as what GTD recommends for my inflammation?

The only company I found which markets Chinese Skullcap, is New Chapter.  You could try the Vitamin Shoppe website to see about ordering it, or just call around to your local health food stores.

Also, I don't know what ingredients are in the new Genotype Diet supplements, but it's possible that Chinese Skullcap is in those.

I'd hate to make a blanket statement of yes - But my experience is that they all worked the same for me...Though I've never employed it specifically for inflammation.
There is a different effect from the root vs. flowering tops/leaves. For some reason i want to say that Chinese Skullcap may be slightly better for the inflammation.
Depending on your specific inflammation, and how you choose to take the herb, there may be a better choice to try.

I started taking one New Chapter Chinese Skullcap Monday or Tuesday of last week.  As the week went on, I began to feel unwell, very fatigued.  By Friday and Saturday, I thought I might be fighting off the flu, although the only symptoms were worsening fatigue.  So I skipped it yesterday and by tonight (Sunday night) I am feeling almost back to normal.

Has anyone else had a bad reaction to it?  I have chemical intolerances and many herbs are problematic for me, so it could be this is just my particular sensitivity, but I'm curious.

If you want to be sure you are getting the right plant, grow it yourself. It is not a large plant and doesn't take up a lot of space, and it is perennial most places.

There is a great company n Oregon Horizon seeds. Organic seeds they raise themselves. and they do sell some plants.

Richo is a genius with herbs and very helpful.

You should take it with the other recommended herbs, not really just by itself.
