Having geared myself up to be a Gatherer I think I'm a Hunter although I don't really fit the profile.  Just to make sure I've interpreted everything properly - my torso is longer than my legs, my upperleg is longer than the lower, ring fingers are longer on both hands.  I'm o+ and a secretor.  Does that sound like a Hunter to the more experience ones amongst you, please???  Haven't managed to do fingerprints - couldn't find an ink pad to buy nywhere and no very available police station.  I tried it with some wadding and food colouring but it just all smudged.

According to the book you're a Hunter. Do you have the book? If you've done the measurements correctly then for sure you're a Hunter, but since you're asking for people to confirm, I wonder if you have the book since the tables in the book make it clear.

The measuring can be fiddly. I thought my legs were longer than my torso before I read the book. The book counts the head and neck in the torso measurement so that changed things. I also did my upper and lower leg measurements incorrectly at first even though I had the book. lol

I recommend that you use the tables in the book to verify your GT, since the online GT calculator currently has a reported problem with the finger length part of the algorithm.

I have got the book and in the 'strength meter' section I had to ignore all questions about fingerprints (and teeth!) but otherwise I scored 9 under the Gatherer list and and a big 0 for the Hunter.  I bought a coloured stamp pad today (meant for card makers) so will see if that reveals anything.

I get confused too....I thought hunters had the longer legs than torso, but I realize the finger lengths are very key....I would have suspected the hunter to have longer legs than torso, longer lower leg than upper......no? just fingers and blood type?

The web site have confirmed I am a Hunter.  Rather perplexed by some of the recipes for Hunters - one contained ½ cup of dried breadcrumbs from a French loaf and bread isn't even a black dot.

Yes, they still have some menu/recipe issues. They will hopefully be straightened out soon.

If you have any remaining doubts as to your Hunter-ness, you could check out some of the how-to-measure threads (some are in the sticky section of the index page, some in the regular section), just to be sure you're not putting inaccurate data into the charts.  You know what they say, "Garbage in -- garbage out!"

Try this: Use transparent/clear sticky tape (sello tape)!! Just gently touch your finger against the sticky side and then hold the tape against the window to look at your print. The oils on your fingers will leave a perfect fingerprint on the tape. It will be harder to see than an ink print, but easier than just looking at your prints on the finger itself. It will also show if you have white lines or not. Good luck!

Just in case any Americans haven't caught on, she's talking about what we generally call Scotch tape (even when it's actually another brand).  I would imagine that the old-fashioned shiny type would work better for this purpose than the matte-finish "Magic" tape.

That's the short answer for me!  If I have meat or poultry and greens cooked in ghee and onions and garlic - and maybe some pineapple... I'm good to go until noon.

But 4 months ago, you'd never see me writing this.  Took me awhile to surrender... Ha!!!  

thanks - I'll try the sticky tape trick.  I started being a Hunter today.  Have joined the web site but didn't find the message board there very helpful.  Not so easy to get around and not many participants.  Does anyone know how many dates constitute a fruit?  I'm unlike to find flaxseed bread in the UK or even the wherewithall to make any.  Would you think I could use rice cakes instead?  The allowance for rice seems very generous.

Are your ring and index fingers the same length? If so, then don't use the online GT calculator to determine your GT. It currently has a problem with the equal finger length algorithm.
