You girls are really entertaining! Wow, those Explorers must have tried some really wierd stuff on their various adventures. I think I hope that I'm not an explorer either. Is there such a thing as "instant oat oil"?
Still Edna did it, envisioning the sunflower fields forever. Chapeau, Edna!
I kept hope alive for YEARS about those sunflower seeds! They are still black dots, but that dot makes all the difference!
I've decided that, on the day I get to my goal weight, I am going to celebrate by downing a handful of sunflower seeds.

I don't know, but what I'm trying to figure out is, what on earth is a "kanpyo"? I will look it up on Google at some point in the very near future. Meanwhile, never heard of it. And it is on my G2 (Gatherer) diet, so we have some exotics in there, too!

I predict on that day you'll be munching on your sunflower seeds and say, "What in the world was I thinking? I don't even like these!"
Happened to me with potatoes. Yearned and yearned for them then had some over Christmas and wondered what was all the fuss about?

Shucks! Potatoes still taste good to me!! Kanpyo may be wierd, but at least it's not Balut!! Sea Salt & Light, Mrs "T" O+ - Hunt 'em down, gather 'em up, & explore the excitement of being a BTD/GTD junkie!!

Peppermint Twist, I can really relate to your struggle, looking at the food list and thinking "Something is wrong." I too thought I was an Explorer and reading about the body type and the sensitivities fit for me, but when I looked at the food list and saw that pretty much all things soy were forbidden, I almost had a mini fit and then went back to measuring and re-measuring. Finally someone on the GTD forum helped me to figure out that I thought my legs were longer than my torso when it was in fact the other way around, and I am a Teacher! Funny because when I looked through all the lists, I read Teacher and thought "I wish I could be that one!" =0)
Wow, by contrast I am quite happy with the Explorer food list! It's hard to be a Nonnie, but I *wanted* to be an Explorer overall because so many of the foods I do well on are there, such as lamb. If I tolerated casein I might prefer the Teacher cheese list but I don't so Explorer is fine with me.
