Hi

I just noticed my gluten free bread has some orange citrus acid fiber in it. I know type As shouldn't eat oranges but is this different. I don't feel bad after eating it but I would if I ate an orange. Oranges are too strong and I avoid them also due to the diet.

Its challenging finding a yeast free bread with all the right ingredients for type A. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks Heidi

While technically the bread would be an avoid since it includes the orange, the quantity is probably so little that unless you have a citrus allergy, etc., that it isn't worth worrying about.  If at some point in the future you have some nagging troublesome issue that won't clear, you may re-visit the decision to eat this item.

It's probably best to limit your intake of bread overall. Get more carbs from beans and vegetables, and when you do eat grains, have whole cooked grains (such as brown rice or quinoa) whenever possible. That way, you're limiting your intake of "less than perfect" bread products, and limiting any negative effect it may have on you.
